Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

How fitting that you posted a picture of Tokyo Disney. I just started researching going back next December. This is almost like a sign or confirmation or something. Maybe I should go ahead and book it.

I was wondering where that was taken...more, please!

Welcome~ :grouphug::cheer2:

Regarding the dining rotation...well, at least it helps me with my cruise plans. If my DD12 is having too much fun with friends in the club I won't make her eat with me. I'm sure I'll be visiting the buffet for dinner ;) Or room service :rotfl:

I was also told today that the buffet will probably not be open for dinner as it is always closed the first and last night of a cruise. I asked because I liked your idea to experience more than one venue. :). Just to note again, though, that this info was not definite.

You should book it! I will never be able to go so I have to live vicariously thru you! Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks!

Somehow I missed your cabin number - send it to me again (I hope you can by Tuesday night!)

I sent it - however...
Here are a couple of clues as to our cabin number in the following 3 images:

not sure if we're allowed to talk about other boards but here goes, not so much anymore, but mouseplanet and micechat were my other boards besides here, sometimes laughingplace, but usually only when someone on one of my other boards mentioned something from it

OK!!! That's enough! I'm calling in the Disney Cops!!!

(chuckles)

Wow! One of these days ...
... I'm gonna have ta' go!!!!

Just spoke to a supervisor at DCL...this was the first he had heard of the (no)dining rotations. He had no other information, or reason to give for the decision. He said he would pass along the concern to the dining department. He also- as we know- suggested that we call with a dining room request, if we had one. With regard to the "shows" in the dining rooms, he said he had no further information, though the previous cast member said they would take place once, probably on the last night. Not sure we can count on that information, though. Not really any solid information, but I thought I'd share.

If anyone else is disappointed, I'd suggest you call and respectfully share your disappointment with a supervisor.

I'll have to do that when I get back in town. What number did you call?

Tokyo Disney and Tokyo DisneySea are AMAZING! Every day I see our two flights from DFW to Tokyo-Narita fly over and wish I was on my way back!!

I just called DCL and got the movie list for our cruise, but she gave me the same list as before, which is probably the same thing they run for every ship for the month... but I don't see how all those movies can be made available on our cruise since it's so short. But then, maybe if they are running continuously in both theatres and on the Ariel View...

Are they showing TRON and TANGLED? Did you get my SASE?

I also called DCL few minutes ago and asked which dining room we're scheduled to dine in, CM said that we're on Animator's Palate :cool1::thumbsup2:cool1: on the first night but doesn't say anything on the 2nd night, so i guess that also confirms "no dining rotation".

Mailing your wristbands out today.

Here is the list:
  • Oceans
  • Toy Story 3D
  • Sorcerer's Apprentice
  • Step Up (3D I am assuming)
  • You Again
  • Secretariat
  • Tangled
  • Tron Legacy

My Tokyo pictures were taken before I had a digital camera so I'll have to scan some. DisneySea is my absolute favorite Disney park. And this is from a California girl who grew up on Walt's original.

I am planning a trip to China in 2012 and will complete my quest to visit all Disney parks worldwide. I originally got this idea in my head during the 50th anniversary of Disneyland in 2005. I wanted to try to visit all the parks while the 50th celebration was going on. Unfortunately I only made it to DL, WDW and Tokyo. But I did make it to Paris in 2007.

Ok stop the presses... I'm on hold with DCL right now and she's running up the line to a supervisor... she said EVERYONE on the cruise is listed under the same dining rotation, so that means if you were told Animator's, that's not necessarily the case. So far, those of you that have posted that you've gotten your rotation have mentioned Animator's...so there might be a glitch to this!

Okay, the rep I spoke to said that the info in the computer is incorrect so if you were told it was a certain restaurant, that is not the case. She said nobody have been assigned to a rotation yet but that it is the same restaurant for both nights.

Maybe she was making up the story so that nobody else would call in to get their rotation, I don't know... Seems weird that they really wouldn't know the rotation even though they know it's the same rest. both nights.

I don't really care which one we get - I just wanted to know ahead of time if possible...

Typical DCL, no one really knows exactly what is going on. I suspect that if 10 of us call, there will be about 6 different answers.
