Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

We are at the Crowne Plaza and need to figure out dinner too. No idea what, though. Anyone else staying in San Pedro the night before? Maybe we can all meet up for dinner somewhere and start the party early

We are staying at the Crowne Plaza the night before. I remember when the last time the Magic was here, I brought the entire family down to the port to watch a sailaway prior to our cruise. We ate at a very nice restaurant with outdoor seating. Had the best calamari ever! I can't remember the name but can try to find out. It was a restaurant row kind of place. They have an open air seafood place too that had live music. Let me see what I can find.

My DH is staying with us (my DD12 and I) so he can drop us at the port and then go onto work.

I'd love to start the party early!

Any clues on how to print the cruise graphic as a magnet? I am printing the ones I have and the resolution is horrible. Maybe the ones I save are just signature sized. Could some post or PM me a high res one?

bubbasmom99 - that's it! We went to Ports O Call Restaurant. I asked my DH if he remembered the name, he said "no" and thought the food wasn't very good with the exception of the calamari.

He wants to go to the Fish Market.... EWWWWW...I just remember seeing people eating a whole fish - fish head still on and yuk.

Hi everyone! With your cruise only a few weeks away- I have a favor to ask.... I am not sailing on the Wonder until May and can't seem to get correct information from DCL on the tweens clubs... Some of you may have noticed several threads lately with others anxious for the same information.

DCL stated the Edge would be open on the Wonder December 2010 for 11-13 year olds and now the groupings would be like the Magic. This has NOT happened so far. Some DCL representatives are stating that there was simply a delay and will be open soon; others have stated it will not be open until dry dock after Alaska. Many of us sailing between now and September with tweens are axious to know! Would you mind getting definitive answers/ first hand look as to weather or not Edge is open? And if not, ask a kids club CM when they anticipate it to open? And report back..... This information would really be appreciative!

In addition, would you mind verifying what ages can participate in Out and About? And if Out and About will be discontinued once Edge opens?

I saw the Port Calendar on the link above and it shows the Wonder at the port on Saturday the 22nd. It will be at Berth 93 on Friday and Sunday, but then it shows the Wonder in Berths 91-92 on Saturday. Do you think they will really bring it back to port on Saturday? It has been listed on the itinerary all long with Saturday as a "day at sea."

No, the Wonder is still at the dock and the Dream was moved to Jetty Park yesterday. If you put the cursor over the blue ship at the dock it is labled as the Wonder.

2 more weeks!!! We're patiently waiting for the Wonder to get here in LA!!! Nice weather today (70 deg.) and here's hoping that when we sail, it will be as perfect as today. Can't wait to meet you guys!!

I'd wager that's just an oddity, perhaps based on plans prior to the addition of our cruise. Our intinerary says "at sea" and I'm certain that's where we'll be. They'd have an awful lot of very angry guests on their hands if "at sea" meant "in port". I wouldn't worry.
