Just paid off our booking for this wonderful weekender! It will be our first DCL sailing and since it's so short we're bringing our toddler as well. I can't wait to see her face when she boards the ship!

Congrats! The look on the kids faces is priceless. Although, I'll warn you, after our first cruise my son cried uncontrollably as we disembarked. Thank goodness I had rebooked while onboard so I had something to help him calm down.

We just paid in full as well! DH refuses to pay until the last minute, not wanting DCL to hold onto our money. I am glad it is finally taken care of. Doing the PIF dance!

I'm just the opposite. As soon as I can pay off I will. Since you cannot make any reservations until the balance is paid in full... the tiny amount that I will accrue in interest pales in comparison to the anxiety that I feel as the time nears for making my onboard ressies should DCL not receive my money in time.

If I were you - I'd go ahead and plan on rebooking while aboard. It secures a good price break with cabin credit. You then place the ressie with a friendly TA who rebates some - and THIS seems to be our basic approach towards getting a fair deal with DCL! If anyone else has a better angle - please share your money saving discovery!

This is normally my modus operandi too. But with the cruise being so short, I'm thinking that I may not have time to rebook onboard. Besides, I'll be on the Magic next October and I can book a cruise then if I so desire. So I'm really torn. I really don't have any plans to cruise again until 2013 but one never knows when a particularly attractive set of circumstances will appear and allow for a cruise earlier than anticipated.

Whoo Hoo! Congrats on the assignment. In some ways it's kinda a bummer that this cruise is so booked up. I've always found it exciting as the cruise date draws near to hear who scored an upgrade and what they've gotten. They'll be no upgrades on this voyage!

Tomorrow is day 75, but I'd think most anyone who's going to cancel would do it over the weekend.

I can't wait for PIF date as I want my cabin number and am tired of being GTY. (Why I'm excited about a Cat 12 cabin, who knows? I'm going to miss my secret port hole from the last cruise.)

I doubt that many will open up, if I see some cat 12's open I'll try to book them for family, but I'm guessing that if there are cancellations it'll be in the upper cats.

Whoo hoo! 75 days out tomorrow! I'm going to the in-laws to help 'em do their online registration.

Just paid my final payment this morning and when I logged on I found that DCL changed my room #. I had 5501 sideways cat 11 booked. Now I see they put me in 6105 regular cat 11. Very disappointed not to have the sideways cabin.

Someone on the thread I posted said that there was a problem with that room for the PC cruise prior to our 2 day and that someone else was kicked out of that room as well.
