Wonder in Alaska!!! May 27, 2013

Hi Corinna!

Sorry that you had to work over Christmas, however just think of it as extra money you will get to spend on the cruise :thumbsup2

I see that you are sailing on a back to back...you have to be so excited about that! That would be amazing!

We are very excited about the back to back cruise. After doing an 11 night cruise, a 14 night cruise and two 15 night cruises, 7 nights is just too short.

Happy New Year to everyone! My DH and I will be making this trip. We made our reservations yesterday! We are Vacation Club Members and had points to use or lose by June 1st. We were hoping to make a trip work with DD(age 20) and DS (age 25) but just could not get schedules to work. We have always wanted to make the Alaskan adventure so decided to make this one work. We are considering this our 30th Annivesary trip as we will hit tha milestone in August! Enjoyed reading all the posts...have lots of research to catch up on. Will send a PM to get on the FB page as well.:surfweb:

Happy New Year to all....

the planning must begin in earnest now that we are in 2013. I have no clue on shore excursions so I see I have some catching up to do.

We had a lovely Christmas, and are still enjoying our tree. Santa brought long sleeve Alaskan T-shirts for us....smart Santa!!!!

We are much in the same boat. I had a casual glance over excursions on Sunday, but really have no idea what we would like to do and see at the moment.

Well, we will SOON be in the same boat....:rotfl:

Meanwhile, I am really uncertain about any of the excursions. I shall have to do some serious studying after this weekend as I am still in Hoiday mode. :santa:

I do not even have the holiday period as an excuse as I worked for pretty much all of it. I am just so silly busy that it is no longer funny. Still, hopefully things will calm down by the weekend. We have our New Year's Ball from work on Saturday and once this is over, I can start planning.

I cant believe in a little over a month we can book our excursions and Palo. we cancelled our Palo brunch/and dinner on the Fantasy in June, so we are hoping to get brunch. ( maybe dinner).

I have a few excursions we are thinking about... but nothing definite. I really wanted to go whale watching, but have read that the whales arent always a guarantee to see.

Hi! Actually we saw plenty of whales from the Wonder when we were on this cruise in May 2011!! One afternoon we were playing bingo when all the CM's raced to the porthole windows to see a pod pass by quite close to the ship! Soon everyone joined in to get a good look and of course to take pictures! See you soon, Karen and Ron:goodvibes

Weird, I wondered why this thread had been so quiet - turns out I haven't been getting the email updates from DIS. Now I have several pages to catch up on! ;)

We were on that cruise with you!! Looking forward to seeing you again, and we will be joining in the FE too!! Glad that you could come on this cruise too, Karen and Ron:thumbsup2

Yay! Glad there will be familiar faces (though I may not recognize you - I fully had pregnancy brain by that time!) ;)

I am hoping we see whales from the ship!! (and not pay extra for a tour!!) :rotfl:

what part of Hawaii do you live in? We cant wait to go back in 2014!!

Is anyone else starting to feel planning anxiety? Lol

My hands are tied because I can't book anything until the people I'm going with get their Canadian visas. I haven't even payed in full yet. There's so much to do and I'm very much a planner so this is driving me nuts! :crazy2:

I hope I'm not the only one who still hasn't yet figured out flights, hotels, dining...?

Phew! I thought I was the only one who had no definite plans. No flights to Seattle, no Seattle hotel or activities, no train tix to Vancouver, no cruise excursions, no flight to LAX (tacking on a few days at Disneyland), no flight back home. And I haven't paid anything but the cruise deposit. Yikes!!

Am I early to be planning/buying? On time? Late? I have NO idea when I should be doing things, lol. After 40+ trips to WDW, I could 'plan' that trip with my eyes closed. Flying cross country, then cruising out of Canada, then visiting DL.... it's all new to me!!

We have also done precious little about this trip so far. I have 4 nights booked at Villas at Grand Californian before the Repo cruise, but we may stay with friends and I may cancel this. I am looking at flights, but so far the fares are still too expensive. Our post cruise plans depend entirely on where we end up flying back from.
