Wonder if August hours will be extended

With the FT package supposedly bringing in lots more people to the parks, I wonder if the hours will be extended for the end of August.....the more people scheduled to be at wdw, the more CM's that can be staffed....another thing....we enjoyed the parks being fairly light the last week of August even though they closed early.....I wonder what this will do to that time of the year.....anyone have any guesses?

Im wondering the same thing about crowds. We went the last week in Aug last year and never waited more than 15 minutes for a ride(actually only 2). We are bringing friends with us this year and I have been going on about how low the crowds will be. Now Im getting worried.

I'm also worried. I had planned the last two weeks of August as an alternative to my first choice October. In fact, August took a little self convincing being its so hot in the summer and we will be tenting. The upside was to be the lighter crowds. Now I'm really wondering what exactly will happen.

We have gone in late August three times in the last 5 years. In 99 and 00 crowds were not bad but in 01 the crowds were brutal and many rides at MK were closed. Hours in 01 were reduced to a 7:00 p.m. closing time (vice 9:00 p.m. in 99 and 00) and it made a big difference. We are planning on going late August this year and I really don't know what to expect. The last time around MK was really not fun, short hours, closed rides and big crowds no matter when we went.
