Wonder getting REPO'ed to Vancouver!: May 20th, 2013 Official Thread!

But this time we need to figure out a one way flight from Vancouver and then maybe a shuttle home (in which case we'd need to haul the car seat along for the trip).

Anyone else on this thread traveling with a toddler? DD will be almost 2.5.

I have a friend who has a shuttle service. If you use him, I can loan him a car seat to use. We're in Lakewood. Let me know if you'd like his contact info.

I am from LA too, this will be our first time taking a cruise at all much less DCL, I'm very excited to go, our plans are to rent a car at the Alamo counter in Canada Place (The Vancouver port) do a little sightseeing around Vancouver, before driving down to Seattle (Alamo allows one way trips to Seattle rentals). Then catch the Amtrak Coast Starlight on the Tuesday morning departure (9:45 AM) out of Seattle and arrive in Los Angeles Wednesday night around 9pm. Just a overnight trip, but it's a very scenic trip along the coast! Thats our way to beat the cost of flying (around $300 for two people on Amtrak) and it's longer but we want the whole vacation experience and aren't in a hurry to get back home!

Does anyone have a San Francisco itinerary that a lazy person like me can copy? By "itinerary" I mean like what your plans are and schedule is for sightseeing for our 2 days in SF. I will reward you with my undying gratitude.

For Wednesday, our group is getting a ZipCar and going to Golden Gate Park to view the Japanese Garden there and maybe take in the Tea House for lunch/brunch. Also there's is supposed to be a really great playground for the kiddies there too. Then off to visit the Walt Disney Museum located in The Presidio. Thursday is a visit to Alcatraz for the tour there then taking a bus up to the Coit Tower Park for pictures and the view, then riding the Embarcadero bus to the Civic Center area to pick up the Cable Car for a trip back up to Bay/Taylor turn around, then heading back to the ship from there. Of course there will be stops for food and pictures all along the way for all these excursions. Thats what we have planned. Hope this helps!

Ours is a decidedly adult itinerary. The first day we will do the Napa Wine Train. The second day we will both do our own thing. I will head to the Disney Family Museum and DH will cycle across the Golden Gate Bridge.

Hi TLPL - You get a list of the families involved, you make or buy a gift for each family and make sure they are given in the FE that is attached to the door of each family involved in the FE.

We're going to be there. First ever cruise so I am very excited! We booked just over a week ago, getting I think was one of the last few VGTs offered. I am now waiting ((impatiently)) to see what cabin I get.

We're heading in a day or two earlier and spending one day at DL and having a nice dinner at Club 33 before the cruise, so this is definitely a trip of gluttony but I am not ashamed one bit!

If anybody needs any Vancouver/Victoria tips ask away.

Return flights booked! That's a weight off, as this is a last minute trip, our options looked limited w/ some flights full but we're going to stay an extra day and fly back on Tuesday...now we need to pick a hotel and plan our extra day in Vancouver

If you have a day in Vancouver I highly recommend this. You can get a shuttle from most hotels in Vancouver
