Wonder getting REPO'ed to Vancouver!: May 20th, 2013 Official Thread!

Welcome on board.

I did not get a PM from you, but saw that you have signed up for the Fish Extender Exchange. I was away for the weekend and got a bit behind. I will PM you the link to the spreadsheet for the Fish Extender Exchange shortly.

I have always got my Fish Extenders from here:

I have a whole collection and they are all amazing.

Thank you for adding me! FYI, my daughter, Julie, will be 19 on the cruise, so technically she is not an adult except by cruise standards.

Also, I would like to join the FB group and PM'd you again about it. Could you add me to it please?
Thank you, Elaine

Hi Laenie! Actually I just looked at Ebay under fish extenders disney! I know that gradysmommy does really nice custom made ones too. We are from Hawaii so look for some things from Hawaii in your FE!!! Aloha, Karen and Ron:thumbsup2

Thank you, we had such a great time with the FE on our Magic cruise, but I didn't have time to get one, so just used a Disney shopping bag! I'd like to get a nicer one, so will look on Ebay and see what I can find!
Looking forward to meeting everyone, Elaine

That just shows how different things can be in different countries. Here in the UK and also in Germany where I grew up, you are considered an adult at 18.

I am going to respond to your PM after dinner.

Hi HappyFamily!! How many of you are coming on the cruise? We are doing the FE and just got a new FE holder that is Chef Mickey and so cute! Looking forward to meeting youall, Aloha, Karen and Ron:cheer2:
Hi Karen and Ron! There will be 3 of us DH and DD. I am going to attempt to make my own FE...we'll see how it turns out!

Hi there! This is my first time on a Disney Cruise!!!
I tried to find the official meet thread for this cruise but couldn't find it - is this the thread we are supposed to be on?

I would like to sign up for the FEE but have obviously never done it. I think I need to buy/make a FE, sign up for the exchange, and be ready for a few gifts for each person on the list. Is that correct? When do we find out how many people are in on the exchange?

Thanks!

Sarah

Also, just wanted to confirm that this was for the cruise from LA to Vancouver? Not sure what the "REPO'ed" title meant :)

Repo means that this is a repositioning cruise, the Wonder is being repositioned from LA to Vancouver to start the Alaska itineraries. So you are on the right thread welcome :thumbsup2

We just did our first FE on our last cruise and it was a lot of fun! Everytime we would get back to our cabin, we would check our bag, and a lot of times there were great surprises! We didn't have time to make or buy an FE so we just bought a Disney bag from the store and hung it on the Fish, it worked out fine but this time I'm hoping to have a little fancier one. Some people do individual gifts to each person in the cabin, or you can do just one gift that's for everyone. I did a small phot album that was personalized with the date/name of the ship and had Disney stickers included. Some people did magnets, some did little bags of "supplies". My DH loved the pirate items we received on pirate night. He wore the eyepatch to dinner and the party. Whatever you give will be fun and appreciated.

Hi Sarah, welcome on board.

I am organizing the Fish Extender exchange. If you participate, you commit to have something hanging from your fish that people can leave gifts in. This can be some type of pocket organizer (the classic Fish Extender), a bag of some description and I have even seen treasure chests hanging from the fish. You also commit that you deliver a gift to each cabin signed up. This can be either a family gift, individual gifts or a combination of both. Some people make more than one delivery, but that is entirely optional.

If you want to join in, you can do so by filling out this form:

I believe your daughter can go into all the adult areas (I think the age is 18-someone correct me if I'm wrong) she just can't consume alcohol until she is 21.

On land in Victoria and Vancouver is different-the drinking age is 19.

That's correct... 18 is considered "adult" on the ships and can use the adult areas. My daughter was 18 on our last cruise and really enjoyed being considered an adult. She will be thrilled to know that the drinking age in Canada is 19!

Jumping ship for the WBPC in 2014, still taking WBPC in 2013. Have a WONDERful cruise!

She is happy she can hang with us "adults" on the ship, although she has been always happy in the kids' camps. On some of the ships 18-21 is a between age, where they can't go to kid's activities but they are also banned from "adult" areas/functions. She is not into alcohol, but will be happy to relax on the boat.

Just realized that we are only 60 days until we will be on the Wonder!! So excited and can't wait!!:cheer2:

:thumbsup2 I know I have made a couple of ADR's for my pre-cruise visit to Disneyland. I am starting to mentally pack, I can't actually start too soon or I end up with way too many clothes. When we did this cruise in 2011 it was quite cool out on the Pacific, I didn't need to pack shorts or a bathing suit. I hope it is warmer this time. It's 54 days for me until we get to DL :cool1:

Hey all! My wife and I just made reservations for this cruise. I'm David and my wife is Dawn Denice. We're just giddy to get some time away. We've got four kiddos who normally travel with us but we're celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary and have decided to leave the young'uns at home this time. I'm looking forward to getting you know you all! :wave2:

Regards,
David for the Robinsons

Welcome aboard David and Dawn! If you're on FB, we've got our own page over there too with a lot of good info on it. See y'all soon!
