Wonder getting REPO'ed to Vancouver!: May 20th, 2013 Official Thread!

Just realized that we are only 60 days until we will be on the Wonder!! So excited and can't wait!!:cheer2:

We booked the Grand Californian for Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th today. We had reservations at Fairfield Inn but couldn't stand it any longer. I need my EMH! There will only be one first time so may as well do it right......

What are the best options to get from DL to the port on Monday? Final piece of my Wonder(ful) Disney puzzle! Any advice is appreciated......

We are going to stay at Grand Cal too. I am thinking about taking the Super Shuttle.

Or maybe we can share a town car?? We are 2 adults and one 7 y.o. .

Welcome on board. Please fill in the form for the Fish Extender Exchange. Where it asks for the room number just put GTY.

Does anyone know what the expected weather will be? Should we plan on swimming at the pool or will it be too cold? Do we need sweaters or light jackets? It's already in the 90s back home for me so its hard to picture being cold in a few months!

I have not been on this specific itinerary before and don't know what to expect off the coast of Cali. However for northern oregon on up, if its cloudy, I would guess low 50's to 60's. Might reach low seventies if its sunny. Complete guess of course!

David :wave2:

P.S. Regarding swimming in the pool. Its heated.... so (especially if you are talking about younger kids) temperature isn't too much of a problem. I saw kids swimming on our Alaska cruise last year

We did this cruise in 2011 and it was quite cold out on the Pacific. SanFran was nice jeans and tshirt weather. Victoria and Vancouver average in the 50' - 60's that time of year, and expect rain and possibly fog. I would say we will be lucky to have pool temperatures but I am taking my swim suit anyways. There is always the hot tub.

Last year we were in Northern Cali early June and it was 60's most of the time, when the sun was out, it felt nice, but when it was cloudy....well, I would suggest a jacket or hoodie, and long pants/jeans. But then again, I'm used to much warmer weather so it felt like winter to me pirate:

That would be me. How can I help?

i signed up for the FE exchange, and i'm just curious how many people have signed up so far. i've never done one (or even taken a cruise before--lol), so i'm very curious how it's going to go!

hi all, we live in the dallas and will fly home from the cruise. it's much cheaper to fly from seattle than it is from vancouver. is anyone going from vancouver to seattle? has anyone researched it and figured out what is
cheapest?
most reliable?
easiest?

between the bus, train, car rental, i'm not sure what to do!!

Heh, I just took another peek. It looks like the $15-$18 bus fare to go from Vancouver to Seattle would likely be cheaper than the taxi ride from the bus station to the airport! I wonder if supershuttle does any bus station to the airport routes?

I have just spotted your sign up. It has been a manic week. I will send you a PM with a couple of questions and the link to the spreadsheet.

We are doing the first Alaska cruise as well, but then are taking the train to Seattle.

We are taking quickcoach. They have a direct bus from the cruise terminal to downtown Seattle and then on to the airport. You can call them. They are super helpful.
