I know the Wonder is scheduled for a dry dock in late 2014 but would anyone like to speculate on whether it will be back in time to do Holiday / New Year cruises and if it is when Disney might release these dates for booking?

Well, the Wonder schedule is only available through Oct at this time. There's really no way of knowing now.

yeah - no clue what they are doing after nor where it would have it's dry dock. Originally it was thought it would be done in Canada after their Alaska cruises, but no.

Now, rumor would be Virginia, which could mean DCL could move it to the North East. That sucker could sell out in a minute if it decides to go out of any North East port for the holidays.

They'll have the other three sailing out of FL.

I think the schedules must be out. We just picked up a brochure on the Wonder on Monday and it has all 4 ship schedules until the end of 2014.

For the Wonder the Disney Cruise Line brochure says:

2014

Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr -
Miami
4-night Bahamian cruises
5-Night Western Caribbean Cruises
15-Night Panama Canal Cruise (May 2)

May 19
5- Night San Diego to Vancouver

May 24
9-Night Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver

June 2,9,16,23,30; July 7,14,21,28; Aug 4,11,18,25; Sept 1
7-Night Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver

Sept 12
14-Night Panama Canal Cruise from San Diego

Sept 26, Oct 1
5-Night Bahamian cruise from Port Canaveral

There are absolutely no dates from Oct 6 - November 15 (must be dry dock)

And then:

Nov 16, 23, 30; Dec 7,14,21,28
7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise from Port Canaveral

Wow! If so then my TA's speculation was right.

Oooh, does it say which ports? Since it's the smaller ship, back to Key West instead of Costa Maya, perhaps?

I am so hoping this schedule holds into late 2015 if they won't give us the regular west coast cruises back. I'd be much happier about having to sail from FL if there were a 7+ nighter that's not on the new ships. I was dreading trying to find a decent length cruise for my graduation/DS's birthday that we could remotely afford and still be on a classic.

I would say yes, Key West. We found the Wonder on the GC port calendar starting the 19th of Nov. & on it every Wednesday. This meant the Wonder would begin 7-night Westerns with Sunday departures, making sense because the Fantasy is doing all Easterns.

PC
Key West
Sea
GC
Cozumel

CC

We'll be on board the Fantasy in 8 days, so we will certainly be picking up a new brochure!!!

The dates and ports work well for us, now I just need to book the thing. Wonder when they'll start taking bookings ?

interesting that is still not bookable online. 3 weeks ago, they had a new sheet with the late 2014 dates and nothing for the wonder past Oct. Probably since they hadn't finalized the dry dock dates. Oh well - I'll still wait for them to come back to NY. In the mean time, we are set for the Dream in xmas '14 - can't afford more than that at that time of the year...

I'd be interested in this!

It will be interesting to see where they price it since they will be in direct competition with the Fantasy.

I thought about this too. I really hope it's less.

Not really in competition with the FAntasy. When the Wonder starts cruising the Western itineraries, the Fantasy starts doing only Eastern itineraries.

Personally, I think that's not right. Not as easy to do an East/West B2B.

Hmm. I was interested in booking the Christmas Fantasy on the ship this April but this is making me wonder!! I would love to go to Key West and GC. That would be fun. Also I like that it has more port days then the western and the Wonder will be all brand spanking new! Decisions, decisions. Wish they would come out with it already!!

You would also have access to the 2-bedroom options on the Wonder instead of having to book two separate rooms.

Bummer. I really wanted Key West for NYE. might have to switch to Xmas instead.

But when are these bookable? Pricing will probably be the same as the Fantasy, but the fact that both are options for Xmas and NY (in fact all four are options from FL), I would imagine prices would need to be a bit competitive...

My DS11 keeps on looking at the Dream in xmas 14 and asking how come the big suites are still available? I imagine we might have some reservations from the Fantasy switched to the Wonder as soon as this is open, specially folks that like the classic ships better, and the fact that it would be right after the dry dock.

Heck - in my dream, the fantasy prices drop and I'll be able to afford a xmas cruise there :)
