Wonder ~ February 6 2011 ~ Mexican Riviera

We booked the Las Caletas tour. If we get back early enough and aren't too tired we will walk to the Krystal Hotel by the ship and have some Pina Colada's. We've been there every trip to PV so far.

Cabo and Maz. doing on our own. Thought about doing the Pacifico Brewery tour, but we will probably just go to Stone Island and relax. Cabo probably a water taxi to Medano Beach.

Are the water taxis for Medano Beach near the pier where you disembark? Is this a good beach for kids? TIA! :goodvibes

Yes...as soon as the tender boat drops you off at the pier you walk out and I believe to the right and there will be lots of little boats there with everyone asking you if you want a ride. Just tell them to Medano beach. It's a nice stretch of beach. It's easy to get out of the boat here in shallow water. Where all the blue umbrellas are is where you can get some great food, but may be a little noisy for small kids. We eat at the Office everytime we go. We couldn't believe our first cruise to Mexico had no mexican food on the ship! So at the ports, we found some really great stuff!

Thank you so much for the info! We weren't sure what we were going to do at this port and this is a great idea. My dh will be happy to get authentic Mexican food. I can't believe the ship didn't have any last time you sailed the MR. That's disappointing!! :confused3

Our first Disney Cruise! My wife makes fun of me for reading the DISboards every night, but she has already made our FE and lots of gifts. She is very crafty. We are looking forward to participating.

Just booked Palo dinner and our Cabo excursion, Dolphin swim for the 4 of us!! Still lots of openings for Palo tonight.

I think we are going to try Dreams in PV and maybe stay close to the ship in Maz.

Booked our excursions this morning. Everything went smooth and we got everything that we wanted including Palo Brunch. We are doing Paradise Beach in PV, Mexican Folkloric Show in Mazatlan (wanted the girls to experience some of the culture in Mexico) and Dolphin swim for dd's and me in Cabo (dh just wants to watch).
This trip is really starting to feel real! Now if United would just stop messing with our flights I would feel much better.

What time did you choose for your dolphin swim? We picked the 9:45-11:45 slot.
I was kind of hesitant to book the beach day in PV thru Disney because I want to be able to leave early if its hot or the kids are tired. I keep going back and forth on it. I think we're going to go to Dreams instead. I hope I'm happy with my choice! :scared1:

We picked the same time slot. I thought the other one was too early.

It is beginning to seem very real now! :goodvibes We booked the Palo high tea and also the beach day in PV. Now to lose at least 10 pounds!!

Does anyone know what night Pirate night is? Dont want to book Palo then. pirate:

Taken from a thread on the main board:

This was from an email I received from the Disney Concierge team!

As of now Formal Night on night # 2, Pirate Night on night # 4 and Semi Formal on night #6.

We look forward to sailing with you!

Have a Magical day!

Thanks for finding that, i must have missed it. Follow up question. Will the "show" at AP be the first time through the rotation i assume? So, one of the first three nights?

So, are we finalizing a FE list so we can get cracking on our stuff??

I just had a real dumb-blond moment when I was scrolling thru the posts- I actually thought to myself 'hey, look... everyone's tickers says the same # of days/months to until their cruise'. DUH!

If I don't tell my wife how many gifts to make, she'll never stop. I think by the time the cruise comes along we will have enough for the entire ship at this rate. :rolleyes1 At least she likes making them.

I agree we need to get a final number soon. I am still trying to figure out if I want to attempt making my own extender and determine what I am going to make as gifts. Everything is so hectic with the holidays but we are running out of time.

I am making my gifts, but I am a professional crafter, so it's my job!!

:rolleyes1 Maybe I shouldn't tell people that... there could be a lynch mob at my door when we board the ship!

I am the complete opposite. I would like to be but just don't have the talent. I am trying really hard to come up with something cute.

Dont worry about not being crafty! Kids have NO idea what is handmade!! My daughters will be so excited just at the idea they won't even give it a thought!!

My husband and I totally want in on the FE's. I am also trying to get the cabin number for my brother in law and his family and my mother in law, as I believe we all want to be a part of it.

So there is:
Our Cabin Number 8538
Myself (Andrea age 32)
Husband (Phil age 39)
Daughter (Katelin age 9)
Daughter (Heather age 6)

My youngest Heather will turn 7 while we are on the ship, her birthday is Feb 10. My husband and I are also celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary.

Then there is:

Karyn (sister in law)
Jeff (brother in law)
Ashley (age 6)
James (age 5)
Their Cabin Number to follow

Cheryl (mother in law)
Henry (father in law)
Their cabin number to follow

I can't wait!! This is our first cruise!
