Today was our day at sea. It was also our champage breakfast in bed morning. (Forgot to mention our romantic turn-down service was last night- lots of rose petals and swan towels. Hard to be romantic with 3 kids in the stateroom tho
) Ok, back to breakfast- we ordered enough for the whole family and it was great!! Eggs Benedict, pancakes, mimosas, yum!!! It was overcast with a drizzle here and there until mid afternoon, but that was okay- almost everyone we met had big sunburns from Castaway Cay yesterday!!! Ouch! We pretty much chilled out, DD went to Oceaneer's Lab most of the day, DS 8 hit the arcade pretty hard and played lots of ping pong, DS 15 did a little reading for school and hung out with us. We sat near the Goofy Pool for a bit, and then at 3:30 went to the Spa for our couples massage. DH had never had a massage and was really looking forward to it. The spa is beautiful and quiet. We checked in, filled out the forms and did write on the bottom "No sales pitch, please" The 2 girls who did the massages were very nice. No sales pitch! DH loved every minute of it and so did I! We headed to the Signals bar at the Quiet Cove Pool after for a margarita. A very relaxing day. We went to Disney Dreams and everyone really enjoyed the show immensely. They do a superb job. Afterwards we went to Wavebands to listen to the Beatles/60's band, had a drink and then headed up to dinner at Parrot Cay. Another great dinner and then time to say goodbye to Mark and Nyoman, who were fantastic the whole trip. Hugs and kisses all around!! Then I knew the party was almost over because I had to go PACK! YUCK! The absolute biggest downer in the world!! I didn't get my bags into the hallway until 11:45 but Lorenzo said no problem!! We all went to bed and enjoyed that sea air one last time!! We were up fairly early the next morning, had breakfast in the room, finished up packing the bathroom items and carry ons and we were out the door by 7:45. I headed to Shutters to buy my pictures and then we disembarked.
I have to say having cruised on 2 other lines (Carnival & RCCL) Disney's system is flawless and painless. We picked up the luggage and headed across the street to the car and were on the highway by 8:15. We were all in pretty good moods due to the fact that we were heading up to Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort for 6 more nights before heading home!! Yay!! Vacation Part Two!!! It made it much easier to leave the cruise knowing we still had another week of fun at an awesome resort. For anyone interested in that Trip Report, I will be posting it on the Resort Trip Report page.
This was our first Disney Cruise but it won't be our last! While we didn't rebook onboard (I already have 2006 and 2007's vacations planned out) we know we will be back. Top notch all the way!!!
