How big are women's sports in the US? They've enjoyed a resurgence here in the UK, be it tennis, soccer or rugby. And rightly so!

Tennis, swimming, ice skating, gymnastics, golf and a few others are popular enough to support themselves at the expert level.

Almost all women's sports are very popular in Jr. High, High School, and College.

Many professional women's sports are promoted in a way that you would think they are popular, but in reality need to be subsidized just to stay functional. The WNBA is the biggest example of that.

The fastest growing high school sport in the US is girls' wrestling, with girl's hockey next. I think the new women's pro hockey league may actually make some money, which I don't think has been done in any other women's pro team sport in North America.
