I am looking for a good women's rain jacket. Do you use one that does a great job? Please share. There are so many online to choose from and they are all so pricey. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Eddie Bauer makes excellent rain jackets with generous hoods...deep enough to still cover your head if your hair is in a ponytail. My husband loves both of his (one thin one, one thicker one) and I of course love mine.

Columbia is our other go-to on jackets. I don't currently have a Columbia rain jacket because I got too fat (lol) but I loved it when it did fit. :)

The main thing to look for is that the jacket is waterproof not just water repellent.
You will pay more, but if caught in a downpour, water will not seep through your jacket. Mine is a Columbia but there are many brands that say waterproof.

Mine is also a Columbia. It's almost parka length and I love it.

I have a nice trench coat for work that I found at Macy's. But for casual, I like my Eddie Bauer outlet $20 one that folds up into it's own pouch. It gets the job done and is convenient to carry.

Sierra trading post is great .com outlet for really good gear in the past I've used lands end waterproof rainjackets now I have a Columbia raincoat- i like the goretex soft nylon type of coat -they both worked great.
