Woman to marry flying carpet ride

Thanks for posting this, I am assuming most people just skimmed the article and may have missed the part about this woman having Aspergers. Having a close relative with Aspergers, I don't find this funny so I will freely admit I have no sense of humor about this. Sorry.

Not so funny when the facts are brought to light. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

People can marry objects and animals but not the same gender? What a wonderful place this country is.

I think it is sad that fact that the reason behind her obsession is because of her Aspergers was hidden in the article was ashame. To me the article went for the shock value as opposed to actual facts.

Yes I agree. They're taking advantage of her ailment to make a few dollars.

:sad2:

I don't see where it says "you may marry inanimate objects, but you CANNOT marry someone of the same gender that you are".

Knoebles or the media? Knoebles is a WONDERFUL park. No parking fee's no admittance fee its pay as you go or you can get handstamps for the day. I love bargain night! 8.50$ for adults! 6.50$ for kids!:thumbsup2 :banana::banana:

Knoebles is a wonderful park (I've been there one time only but I had a great time) so personally I think it is the media trying to make a buck. Will Knoebles get some free publicity out of it, yes but I don't think they are trying to make money off of it.

it doesn't, yes... but (if i'm not overstepping my boundaries here Mrs. Chamberlain) what i think the original meaning was that why is ok for people to "marry" objects and such when there is a big fiasco over same sex marriages :confused3... hopefully i got that right; that's what i took from the statement made.

That was exactly the point I was trying to make there.

Well they really must be doing that as I have just read that exact story (complete with pictures of the lady on the ride) in a magazine here in the UK so this story is obviously being sold world wide. In that version of the story it mentions the OS condition the lady has but does not mention that she also has Aspergers.

Oh no, not Knoebles, I meant the media - drawing people in with a seemingly strange story with 'Disney World' in the title (just to attract many more even though it's got NOTHING to do with Disney World.) and conveniently not mentioning until the end that she has Asperger syndrome.

They even put a pic of WDW in the title.

Knoebles seem to have behaved very well and seem to be very understanding of her attachment. I love that. :goodvibes

wait.. shouldn't she be going to a mental institution?? This is just NOT right and there's something really wrong with this person.

I dont know much about Asperger syndrome but is there anyway to help this woman? I am at a loss for words after watching that video..
