Has anyone had this done? I am considering doing this since I look like a science project after nursing two kids. I am not two different sizes. Lucky me! Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any regrets in doing it? Do you really have to get repeated surgeries? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I did it almost 4 years ago and LOVE them. of course i did it for me and no one else and i feel complete now like a woman I had nothing b4. you would think after two kids i would have gotten a little bigger but nope nothing I had to shop in the girls section :lmao: now it the woman's section :cloud9:

I would go to several docs and go with the one that makes you feel more comfortable. and you should NOT have to pay for a consultation.

My hairdresser had them done years ago. She is very petite and had nothing up top. She had them done very nicely in an appropriate size for her frame (no Pam Anderson watermelons) and looks great and has had no problems with them.

May I make a suggestion: Please also think of the future, not just what you look like now. I was a 34B after two kids.....now 31 years later I'm a 38DD. Yes, weight gain thru and after menopause. The Twins are HUGE and I wish and long for the days when they were "normal". I hate the notches in my shoulders, etc.etc.etc.

So while you are not happy with what you have at the moment, look at the women in your family and see what they looked like when they were 50-60. Then decide if you want augmented breasts AND whatever they might have gained as well.

Good luck! And I hope you are happy with the results of whatever you decide!:)

After hearing two mammography techs talk about the difficulties of doing mammograms on women with implants, I feel pretty strongly that I wouldn't be getting implants unless they were truly 'necessary'.

I wonder about the cost? I would love to put my rocks in socks where they should be. I am 30 and after a 100lbs weight loss, my girls are, in a word.... SAD! It would be such a confidence booster. Instead of just having skin hanging there. I have never been well endowed, adn that isnt what its about. But having nice breasts and maybe some skin from my belly removed.... okay, now you got me started!:rotfl:

I had a breast reduction when I was about 17 or 18 - not because they were to big, but because one was a DD and one was about a B. I really wanted to get implants right then and there because I wasn't happy with what I was going to be left with, but I wasn't able to (didn't think about it till the morning of surgery, and then never said anything because my mother told me not to :confused3 ....). I wish I had because now after 2 kids and losing 75 pounds, I have seen a HUGE difference in the twins. They are... deflated! Maybe one day when I lose the rest of the weight (anywhere from 30-60 more pounds), and if we ever get around to robbing that bank :lmao: ..... I'll be able to get something done! I know I really want a tummy tuck, and probally new girls! Anyone want to contribute to the fund??
Good luck to you - do a lot of research on the Drs, and don't go nuts with the size!!! :thumbsup2

I got a quote of $5,000.00. I didn't think that was too bad. I just won't get a new car anytime soon! My issue is if I need to do 5,000.00 every ten years.....that'a alot!

I have never had implants, but before I had a reduction 16 years ago, I was a 40DD on a 5ft 110lb frame. I have no idea how heavy implants are in relation to the real thing and i have no idea how big you want them to be, but please consider the weight it will create. The real thing was agonizing.

I would only be going from a A/B( two different sizes) to a C. I'm very tiny framed, I think even the C would be too much. I just need to fill in the "loose" skin!

To the OP please note that the website you were given is not any sort of "official" site (meaning it is not sponsored by official medical groups) it is a site put together by a woman who had implants.

I hope that you thoroughly research procedures AND doctors! The cost is for that initial surgery. Who knows whether you have to "re-do" every ten years or not. Could be way sooner (rupture or some other complication) or they could last longer!

Any elective procedure is a very personal choice and should be made (not influenced by others) by you and only you! There are pros and cons to any surgery.

You have a ton of research that needs to be done to make the best decision for you!

had them done about 4 years ago. I had a mini-tummy tuck at the same time to get rid of the baby belly that hung around after I had my daughter. I have had zero issues. I do wish, however, that I had had a lift done at the same time. At some point in the future, I will likely go back and do that, but I need t set aside the money for that.

In terms of getting them redone, my doctor said I wouldn't need to. I had asked him about that, as I've heard other women mention it too, and the new implants now, I guess, are better than the ones 20 years ago.

Go to a few doctors, and then ask them that question as part of your consultation process. Make sure you find a doctor who does those surgeries often, and see if you can find people in your local area to give you recommendations. The dr I used is tops in the field, does the surgeries once a week, and has been doing so for almost 30 years. That played a big role in my decision to see him.

If you're shopping around for doctors, I think you should visit Dr. Jim English. I used to work at Baptist in LR, and he had a great reputation for being really good at what he does.
