Hey all!

We will be staying at POR in July and will be visiting relatives in Tampa one day. I thought it'd be nice to take advantage of the DTD boat and eat dinner at DTD that evening. Last year, we ate at Planet Hollywood and found the atmosphere to be moderately amusing and the food was just OK (would have been better if the fries weren't increadably stale).

We also feasted at the RFC at AK. This was our second time at a RFC and I found the food to be much more enjoyable than our first. Atmosphere is definitely cool here and food was nothing to complain about.

Now, I've scanned the Menu for Wolfgang Puck's Cafe and it looks to be reasonably priced (for WDW) and tasty. My question is, how is the atmosphere? Also, is it staffed by Disney folk? Would we be better off going for a slightly different experience at the DTD RFC? Just curious as to your thoughts. We prolly won't be spending too much time in DTD... we could always just chill at the resort and eat at the food court too...

Jeff

I like all three places you have named. I really like Wolfgang Puck Cafe though. I've been to it several times as well as the one in Las Vegas. There is not much in terms of atmosphere, the restaurant is very colorful and crowded. I found it a bit noisy too; that being said, I still love the place.

Of the 3 you mentioned, DH and I really enjoyed AK RFC and Wolfgang Puck's. We did Wolfgang's twice for lunch because we enjoyed it so much.

I have eaten at all 3 and our favorite is Rainforest Cafe. We have never, ever had a bad experience and LOVE the food.

Our second favorite (of the one's listed) would be Wolfgang Puck's. The food is really good, but unique. Would definitely go back.

Our thoughts on PH is that it's good for a burger and that's about it. Not that it's bad but not one of our favorites.

We love Wolfgang Puck's! There's a wide variety of vittles, from the familiar -- meatloaf and pizza -- to the unique. (Pumpkin Ravioli, anyone?) And the deserts are amazing. Leave room to share something sweet!

The atmosphere can be a little noisy, but it's a fun meal, and well worth it.

My vote is for Wolfgang Pucks, too. We find the food to be the best of the three by far. We find lunch or an early dinner to be less noisy and crowded. I don't think that the servers are Disney CMs but they've always been friendly and efficient. We find the service better than the other two spots.

We have eaten at all three and Wolfgang is our favorite. RFC is our second choice and Planet Hollywood would be our third choice. We ate there last week and were really disappointed. We also ate at Wolfgang and had an excellent meal and excellent service.

Another vote for Wolfgang Puck's! We've eaten at all three restaurants and by far, this was our favorite.

We have eaten at all three. For atmosphere, Rainforest is the winner. For food, Wolfgang is by far the best!

Planet Hollywood, Rainforest Cafe, and Wolfgang Puck are all "Third Party" participant companies. Their employees are not Disney CMs. The service and food that I have experienced at Wolfgang Puck is by far the best of the three restaurants you mentioned. I would go to Wolfie's. Especially since you haven't been before.

Since you have done the other, I would go with Wolfgang Puck's Cafe. We enjoy their counterservice, so I would expect that the full service would be awesome, as well!
