Any first hand experience on what you can get for lunch choices? If you want the rotisserie chicken, can you get a side on the DP or do you have to pay OOP?

Also, any reviews as of late? I ate there MANY MANY years ago, and it was good then. Still good??

Thanks!
Marcy

I know that it is on the dining plan and counts as a counter service, but I don't know if there are limitations on what your allowed to get. I thought I read on another board, that someone on the dining plan couldn't get the chicken. If you can, you probably would have to pay for the side OOP if it doesn't come with the main course.

This is a great choice since it's a CS credit and it's really good. I ate here around 3-4 times this last August. I know there was a couple of exclusions, but can't remember what they were, UGH!
You can use one of your snack credits for a soup, this is what DH did a couple of times. Dessert is a cookie or brownie, but we did get the creme brulee one time. The cookies are big and yummy! :thumbsup2

You can get the chicken. The restricted items are meat loaf and ravioli. We thought it was good not great last year. You could get a side item with any entree that included it. I think with teh chicken I had a choice of masked potatoes or mac and cheese. They were also restrictive on drinks. Only fountain drinks no bottled water. Getting tap water was an issue and I finally was able to get a tiny cup of no ice tap water.....

This was the case a month ago also - same thing with the drinks. We had pizzas (cant remember which ones but would have been "kid friendly" ie: not spicy, limited veg toppings, creme brulee was excellent. What we did was get two CS from here, and two CS from Earl of Sandwich and had a smorg - food from WP won hands down for all four of us both for taste and value :thumbsup2 My name is Yvonne too!

We just ate there yesterday!!! She didn't mention any restrictions to the DDP for us :confused3 ...but we chose the spicy chicekn pizza and the BBQ chicken pizza--both were delicious and we had the creme brulee for dessert, which was very yummy....you did need to get the fountain drinks, however.

on a side note, we've eaten there before and had the noodles (can't remember what they were called?) :goodvibes and chicken asiagio sandwich, and those were excellent too! Have fun! :goodvibes

We ate there a couple of times in August. There were some restrictions for DDP participants. We had the various pizzas. They were delicious. The creme brulee was the best we had our entire trip (and we ate at, and had creme brulee at, several signature restaurants)!

This was also our experience, no meatloaf or ravioli, other than that you can pick whatever. The mashed potatoes that come with the chicken are great. By the way the servings are huge here, 2 adults could easily share one of the chicken plates.

We also felt that WPE was far better than Earl of Sandwich. EOS was fairly restrictive, you could chose a sandwich, chips, and fountain drink or sandwich, dessert (cookie or brownie), and fountain drink.

We plan to visit WPE more than once on our next trip.

Can anyone tell me anything about the pizza on the kids menu here? It is the same type as one the adult menu only smaller or is more like something from the hotel food courts? Just trying to figure out if my kids will like it?

It is a thin crust brick oven style pizza. My kids love the food court stuff but did not like the WPE version. The sauce was a bit garlicy for them as well. Personally I thought it was good just not what the kiddo prefer. In our case 1 kids pizza would have been enough for 2 kids. It was the size of a big plate.

We just ate there today and there were no restrictions to what we could get using the DDP. As a matter of fact, my DH got the ravioli and I got the rotisserie chicken with a caesar salad for my side. He also got the creme brulee and said it was very good (and a whole lot bigger than he got at a couple other table service restaurants we ate at). I got the brownie, which was the worse brownie I think I've ever had! It went right in the trash!

Ditto. We hit DTD on our way to the airport. DH took one bite of the brownie while waiting for our plane, threw it away, and said he'd rather starve!

The rest of the meal was great. We weren't given creme brulee as an option on the DDP. :confused3
