We are planning on eating at WPE in a couple of months time and I have noticed that there are two locations at DTD. I was just wondering if one was better than the other or do they both serve the same food.

One is a sit down, one is the express restaurant. I've never been to the sit down, but the express is very good, one of my favorite places to eat at Disney.

There are two WPE locations at DTD. One is in the Marketplace, one is on the Westside. The Marketplace has more choices.

The Wolfgang Puck Express "Marketplace" in Downtown Disney is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Disney. We make it a point to have at least one meal there each visit. The menu is varied, the food is affordable, usually quite good, and an excellent value. The menu changes regularly, so we have seen some favorites come and go over the years, but almost everyone in your group should find something they like. Their desserts are typically delicious, but we always make it a point to stop at Ghiradelli's too. Decadent! Have fun :beach:

I've eaten there a few times and really enjoyed the WP Express.

Are you using DDP? If not, and you like sandwiches, the Earl of Sandwich is very good. The last time DH was at Earl, they offered a discount for AAA members. :cool1: He ended up eating there 2 days in row because he loved the food and discount.

WGPE in the market place also has more seating than the one on the westide. Its also got a much more extensive menu.

Loved the food there and its nice that you order at the counter but they bring it to you like table service place.

The Creme Brulee is the best I have ever had, loved the pasta alfredo and the pizza is great too.

DH tells me the breakfast pocket is to die for.

Thanks for all the info. Yes, we are on the DDP, I've heard that WPE is a good way to use a CS credit. Is Earl of Sandwich also good value on DDP?

There are 4 Wolfgang Puck restaurants.

The West Side has an Express (CS), the Cafe (TS) and the "Dining Room Upstairs" (not on the DP).

The Marketplace has a second Express (CS).

In our opinion, the WPE in the Marketplace is the best CS at WDW especially if you are on the DP.

In our opinion it is the best of the Wolfgang Puck restaurants we have tried (all of them except the Dining Room).

We were amazed at how great the staff was there! They asked before we ordered (at the sit-down restaurant) if anyone had food sensitivities. I can't eat raw onions, and mentioned that. I couldn't believe when one of the chefs came out and talked to me personally about it, asked me about what my favorites were to eat, and then prepared an amazing custom dish around it. We weren't on the dining plan on that visit, and we were basically charged the same price as a standard dish on the menu. He then came out while I was eating it to make sure it was to my liking. We've been to other Wolfgang Puck's since and had similar treatment, even for a picky eater. It seems if they have the ingredients, they'll do anything they can to make people happy.

Wolfgang Puck is so good! My favorite, although I did try Earl of Sandwich last time and it's pretty darned good too.

When I went to Hawaii last year, there was a Wolfgang Puck Express in my hotel! And a Starbucks...best hotel ever!
