ok...so we are thinking this looks like a great place. We are confused.
In a book we have it talks about 4 parts of the restaurant. The sushi bar,, express and "the cafe" and the "upstairs". What is the difference between the Cafe and the " upstairs"?

The "upstairs" is an a la carte fine dining room (and costs more than $2 more than downstairs ;) We ate there a couple of weeks ago and had the Chef's table - 7 courses for $75 a head and some of the best food I've ever tasted. :cheer2:

DH and I ate at the Cafe in July and really enjoyed it. Initially when they published the 2007 Dining Guide, I was so disappointed to see that it was off the plan. But now that the plan has been finalized and WGP is back on I'm delighted! :sunny: I can see the Cafe becoming one of our favorites.

Upstairs is more quite and the servers are more attentive. HOwever, the menu is similar but not as broad.

Just ate at Wolfgang Puck. Had the express, it was quick and yummy delicious. We both had the rosemary roasted chicken. Cant wait to go back.

If our server at the Cafe was anymore attentive I would have asked her to join us! :rotfl: The service was what stood out the most when we were there. It was as if this particular young woman knew what we were thinking! ;)

We ate in the Cafe last week on the DDP. It was one of our favorite meals and DS14 insists we add it to our mandatory list in exchange for taking off 50's Prime Time (Yea! 50's is OK once in a while but not on evry week long trip!).

Here is a hint for something extra special if it interests you. We had ADrs and were waiting for our table. The food is prepared for all to watch where you walk in. The boys were having a great time watching the chef in charge of the pizzas. The host told us we could sit at these 5 sits that faced the pizza chef, almost like a snack bar. They are available on a first come first serve basis so we said yes! It was great being able to watch all the chefs at their stations. The pizza chef, Buc, was a great conversationalist and kept us entertained all night. DH gave him a nice tip as he was better than our waiter. As far as what to order - I highly recommend the spinach dip, quesdadilla, pumpkin ravioli with chicken, macadamia nut crusted chicken and carrot cake. The boys loved the chocolate fondue. There was so much food!!!

:confused3 I thought I saw WP did not take ressies so we did not try to make ADRs. Can you? :confused3

We made ADRs for the Cafe for when we are going in two weeks with no problems.
