We have ADRs for our February trip. We are staying onsite and using Disney Transportation. We planned on going to DisneyQuest that night so we want to eat at DTD at a Dining Plan One Credit Table Service. We are NOT fans of Planet Holleywood (and have one 15 minutes from our house anyway).
ANYWAY - Unofficial Guide ripped the place to shreds. The menu looks interesting - any thoughts? One adventerous eater and one picky one.

We like the food. The salad was very good.

Liked the food, but was not "wowed" by the experience. Too us, it was just another good dinner. But nothing special.

We tried it for the 1st time this year instead of planet hollywood and loved it! :flower: The atmosphere is not as cool but the food was great. We are mixed plain food & adventureous eaters too and everyone found something. We wound up eating there 3 times in 2 weeks. ;)

But don't forget if your at disneyquest, you will have access to the cheesecake factory which is only acessible from the instead of disneyquest. It might be "counter service" but the food is really good and the desert to die for. Not sure if this is in your meal plan thou.

This is one place we go almost everything we go to Disney and we love it. Never had a bad meal

We really enjoy WP too. We make it there for lunch most trips although we missed it this time. Great variety and choices for both the adventuresome and meat n potatoes diners.

Add us to the LOVED it list...

It was a whim for us but we ended up loving the meal. I loved the nut encrusted chicken and the fondue for dessert. We plan to add it to every trip from now on...

As for our last favorite---'Ohanas---we won't go back.

I can now see how one place can be good on one trip and bad on the next...The new menu there is horrible. :crazy2:

Our new fav...PUCK's

KrissyH,

We ate our Thanksgiving dinner there this past November. Loved it. Sat outside on the patio where it was a mild sunny day. Look for my review coming up. I'm trying to do one a day but lost power for most the day today! Crazy New England weather.

Let's see, I have Boma, Seasons, Cindy's dinner, Whispering Canyon breakfast, Earl of Sandwich, Tusker House breakfast and then WP's Cafe followed by Roaring Forks, 1900 Park Faire and Kringla Bakery left to do.

We really liked it. Hubby and I had fish, just for the halibut - :rotfl: -
My brother used to say just for the halibut, but my dd heard me say it and misunderstood and hubby told me to stop saying it (but I can type it!) Anyway, the halibut was great, dd's steak was good and the desserts - wonderful!!!

It was really expensive, so the dining plan was great to have.

We love WP Cafe and eat there every trip. The appetizer quesadilla is so big, I usually get that as my entree. Everything we've tried is very good, fresh and served hot!! The fresh bread and the desserts are very yummy, too!!! :goodvibes

We really enjoy it, the appetizers are really big so we always share, the food is very good, and it is nice to go to a sit down in DD.

This is good to read. My sister wants to go there and she and my dh are very picky, I on the other hand will try anything.

We really enjoyed WPCafe in Oct! Great food, great atmosphere, we ate outside in the evening after Cirque. The service was the best we received at any Disney Restaurant. DH had ribs and I had Grandma Pucks pasta and both meals were very good! Creme Brulee Sampler for dessert was awesome! Enjoy!!!! :goodvibes

We loved Wolfgang Puck's Cafe back in Oct. We actually went there on a whim and really did not know too much about the place, but in the end it became one of our top meals of the trip.

We were on the dining plan.

We shared the quesadilla appittizer (sp).

He had the steak (he said it was great, though not as good as Le Cellier's later on in the trip)
I had the pumpkin ravioli with the chicken add on (the add on was included in the DDP)
We shared the chocolate fondue which also was great!

When we return we will definetly be back.

Like you said, Planet Hollywood just doesn't do it for us (having been there multiple times with it being so close to our home) so Wolfgang Puck's Cafe is the way to go for us when we are in that area of DTD.
