Wolfgang Puck Cafe at DTD has gone downhill...

The last couple of trips, we ate at Wolfgang Puck Cafe in DTD and had wonderful experiences. The food was great, portions were good, and service was great. I had read on here a few mos ago, that there were some complaints about the restaurant, but chalked it up to "different strokes for different folks." So, we kept our ADRs and went out last night of our trip. Let me start by saying the service was awful. We had to beg, borrow, and steal to get a refill on a drink. The table beside us (party of 12) waited 20 mins for someone to come and ask them what they wanted to drink. When our food finally arrived, my dads steak was ice cold, like out of the fridge cold. My fresh catch of the day, the mahi mahi was just inedible. The pumpkin ravioli was good, as was the fettuccini with chicken. Still dealing with the cold steak issue, we had to flag down another waiter to go and get our waiter, to tell him that the steak was inedible. Mind you, we had all finished our meals by the time our waiter came back to take the steak back for another one. Manager did come over to our table to make sure the new steak was hot, but when they brought the rest of the meal back, the other sides were cold this time. My dad was livid, and ended up eating the left-over fettuccini that my mom didnt finish. No comp-ed deserts, no sorry about your steak, nothing. It was just a shame this was our last meal of our trip, because every other meal we had in WDW was fabulous from start to finish. All in all, WPC is not what it used to be. It really lacks the fine dining experience that it had before.

Yes I have to agree, I actually got very sick when I ate there. The food is the pits!:scared1:

Oh plee don't tell me it it so! We love this place and go every trip!

Any recent positive reviews?

Thanks for the info. I just cancelled a reservation that I had there for Nov. and switched to Tutto Italia. We have also eaten at Wolfgang Pucks and enjoyed it but we decided to try something different. I feel so much better now that I changed it. Thanks !!!:cool1: :cool1:

My family went in June and it was the worst meal of the trip...same report, bad service, cold congealed food, inedible, no help from wait staff and they were rude about their dining plan. This is not owned anymore by Mr. Wolfgang Puck...it is just his name and he comes 3-4 times a year to check, but that is it....it is also not Disney Owned.

Not being Disney-owned can be a blessing too (some of my favorite restaurants on property are NOT Disney owned).

I agree with the Express - it was fantastic during all of my meals there this month on free dining, and the service was great too. I have not been to the Cafe, and it sounds like I should be glad of that!
