We were at DTD last week and it was lunch time. We've not eaten lunch at DTD and wasn't sure where to go. I heard a lot about Earl of Sandwich but we wandered over and looked at the menu at WPE and it looked good. They also except the dining plan. It was wonderful! DD got a kids pizza which was huge. It was really good. I had the bbq chicken quesadilla and DH had a special of the day sandwich (something with meat). Both were excellent! You order at the counter and then someone brings you your food, gets you refills, etc. The service was wonderful and we will definitely return.

We love WP Express! Honestly, the Chinois Chicken Salad at Express is much better than at the Cafe (where is was DROWNING in dressing to the point of being inedible).

The soups are also terrific, and you must try the homemade potato chips.

Yes, I always do. You just place your order, get your drinks and take your number and sit outside. They will bring your order out to you when it is ready

You can definately get the food to go and take it back to SSR. We have done that before.

OP, thanks for this post! I was debating on whether or not I wanted to eat here the day DH and I arrive for our quick trip in 2 weeks. It reminded me how good it is and how much we liked it. Also, I don't think we'll have time to fit it in on our Nov trip so I think it's a great choice for us!

Yes the soup was on the menu. I didn't order it, because there was so much to choose from, but the server had an extra bowl, so he asked me if we wanted a free bowl of the butternut squash soup! It was really tasty!!
We ate twice @ WPE, and thought it was easily, the best counter service on the property.
