Hello,

We are staying in a concierge theme park view room at the Paradise Pier hotel September 11 and 12. Will we be able to see the World of Color show from the hotel? I don't think DH will want to stand for a long period of time waiting for the show to start and then continue to stand all during the show. We are not as young as we used to be!

You will probably be able to see the fountains, but you will not be able to see the projections - you have to be in front (or behind) them. If you don't want to wait for the show you could still go and watch it from the boardwalk area in Paradise Pier like from in front of California Screamin' or near Toy Story Mania. I think you can usually walk up (especially for the second or third show) just before the show starts and get a good spot right up against the railing. You won't get the full impact of the show but you will be able to see the fountains and hear the music - and I think if you're near Toy Story Mania you will be able to see some of the projections from the back side.

We were in a theme park suite at PP last December. We were able to watch the trial runs (even back then!) every night. Bit it was a side view, which would lead me to believe that the previous poster was correct~that you probably wont see as much (any?) of the projections. I would also be concerned about what floor you were on. If it's one of the bottom floors, you won't be able to see much (but then they wouldn't call it "theme park view", now would they?!)

If you do a search, there is another recent thread on this exact topic where I posted some pictures of what we saw when we were there in May.

We were on the second to the top floor and this was during testing. You can see some of the projections (Nemo, Lion King, Ariel) but of course, not as well as from down in DCA. But if you don't want to have to wait for hours, etc, we thought this was a great treat!

Great pics amamax! Your view of Paradise Pier is very different from the one we had in December, when we were theme park view at PP. We were more from the side of WOC and the other side of it. I guess your view is dependant on what room you end up with.

Thank you all so much for the helpful replies. Especially to you amamax2. If we that good of a view from the room we are in we will be happy campers!

We were there in June, Room 1232m and we heard the music (all three shows) and saw the fountains. We could not see the projections from our room.

Edit: Our view was similar to the pictures but we couldn't make out the projections.
