WOC desert party

Have a 7:10 Carthay on a night with a 9:15 WOC dessert available. Would that be enough time to leisurely enjoy dinner, or would you do WOC dessert on a different night with no dinner ADR booked?

I just realized that my reservation is for 915 pm (on the 26th), it was the only option when I made the reservation this morning. There are 2 WOC scheduled for that evening, 9 pm and 1015 pm. I assume based on my 915 reservation that this is for the 1015 pm show, is that correct?

I guess that means we likely won't get seated until after the 9 pm show is over

Yes it's for the later show. You will likely still need to line up at the podium before 9pm to get a "better" table if they let you during the earlier show. Historically they only offered 1 party even when they had 2 shows, but pent up demand has it scheduled for both.

I was able to get reservations on the 26th by literally clicking non-stop for about 15 minutes. You may want to keep trying that. If I end up with an extra, I'll let you know.
Thanks, I tried for about 20- 25 minutes hoping people were checking times and might release. The last few days have made me very aware that I have no control and just make the best of what you have currently. Congrats on getting seating and enjoy the show.

It Made me cancel my dinner res.

You can use your spouses account though.

I know. I still think the system isn’t fair. 🤣
So we had 4 devices rolling with "sit tight", the first one logged in and told to sit tight opened with the > 1hr message, the third of the group said 15 min....so yes, it's awful.
Thankfully the "app refresh" worked and I was able to book before the shortest wait device allowed us in. I hope people were able to get what they wanted. I just looked at this weekend and it appears to be booked now.

If I recall, checking in gets you a wristband so that you can come and go from the dining area. Sounds like the late show guests can check in early, which may give some advantage for entering the party location and picking out your table.
In the past I was never allowed to choose my table. I was always assigned a table when I got there. Not pre-assigned.

My thought was, if you check-in at the earlier window, you will only have one line to wait in when you return for your party. If you don't check-in during the early window, you may have one check in line and then another line to actually enter the seating area. Total speculation.

Yes it may help to get as much of the check in done. Then the employees won’t have to deal with it twice.

I was in a panic when I finally got through and forgot to add a dietary request to my reservation. I can’t see where to do that after the fact. Is there a number that I can call to have it added?
Glad I'm not the only one that did that! Would also love some insight on how to make sure allergy foods are not included on the plate! It does say on my conformation that dietary considerations should be mentioned to the server so I might have to do that. I

I was also in a rush. I plan on trying to Al’s in the app to add a dietary restriction.

Do any of you Disneyland experts have advice for a first timer about which dessert party you prefer and why, the first or second show?

We did the second showing of the dessert party once for the holiday season... we found that the second show was way less crowded and we could have just probably stood for a view... however, I don't think that's the case now because the demand is likely much higher!

I like the second showing time because you have more time in the parks then before lining up.
