WLV at 7 months in Dec???

Our home resort is the BWV's. We were considering maybe the WLV's for Dec 2006- I would of course book the BW at 11 months. However, I was curious about the success of booking the WLV's at the 7 month window this time of year. Thanks to those that respond!

Yesterday there were still 1 BR's available @ VWL for 4 nights the week of 12/9/06, past the 7 month window.

When I inquired a few weeks ago before our 7 month window opened, there were no sudios available for our dates.

I called at exactly 7 months and was able to get our 1 br for the week after Thanksgiving. We did have to waitlist for one day, but when I called the next day it had already come through.

We have recently changed our reservations and now have the 23rd of Nov (day before Thanksgiving) through the 4th of Dec in a 1BR...the only day we're waitlisted is Thanksgiving itself. I have faith in the WL, but if we don't make it we will pay cash and do the lodge itself for a night.

Last summer, we got on the WL in July or August and ended up getting the week after Thanksgiving at VWL also. It is very possible.

That isn't stopping me from trying to talk DH into making sure our next add on is at VWL so I can book at 11 months and say it is our "home"... As beautiful as SSR is, I am head over heels in love with VWL - Especially with the Christmas decorations! It is the reason I agreed to join DVC.

We also waitlisted for a 1BR at VWL for the week after Thanksgiving and got the phone call that it was available in less than a week.

I'm waitlisted for a studio for Nov. 30th. I booked Dec. 1st - 5th and then wanted to add on the 30th to fly down a day earlier to go to the condo meeting.

Thanks to all that replied. We haven't stayed at the Lodge since we bought into the Bwv's in 2000 and I love the WL at Christmas. Thoughtit would be nice to stay there ont he next dec trip!

Just called for VWL studio for third week in December. No problem.
