The answer to this use to be in the WL FAQ, but can't find it now. Sorry.

Ready to make our reservations for WL in November. We're going to book a Woods View, but can anyone tell me if the only woods view are in the North wing on north side of hall or are there some in the South wing facing the villas? I thought someone said south wing were all courtyard view. Anyone know for sure?

As far as I know, the woods views are in both wings.
I would DEFINITELY NOT pay for a courtyard and then have them give me a room looking at WLV and have them call that a "courtyard".
I don't pay the extra money too look at trees and another building. The REAL courtyard looks at the REAL pool with the view of the lake too :p ... So far I have never heard of anyone getting a room on the other side of the south wing and paying for a courtyard. A lot of those rooms do look at Trees or the other building. There might be a few (25-35) that could be considered a premium view - however I would definitely not settle for that! :D

We were upgraded from a standard view to a woods view (lodge view) that looked across to the WL Villas, and we thought it was fine! We were just glad we weren't looking at the parking lot, or over a service area. We had a corner room, meaning the last room on that corridor before you make a right, and another corridor starts so the room was very private and quiet.

Since we were there during one of Florida's record breaking cold snaps in January, having the frost on the roofs of the Villas made it feel like we were staying at a ski-lodge!
