WL standard room

Is there a general room location I should ask for at check-in that is better than other locations? Where generally are the standard rooms, and what is considered the best location? Do any overlook the lake? Do I want to avoid the rooms that face the lobby area? Thanks.

We had a woods view room, 4086, which opened over the lobby (directly above WCC) and had a distant MK view, but also overlooked a parking/service road area. I think calling this a woods view was a stretch, but we liked the lobby location and had a great view of the fireworks at night.

I think standard view is probably overlooking the front driveway.

Am wondering the same thing. Are all the standard rooms over WC and therefore incredibly noisy???

We booked a std room on our first stay; we had #6028 and it was great! We faced the MK, and the Contemporary. It overlooked a swampy, woodsy area and we could watch the fireworks from our room. We loved it!

I was wondering the same thing. We have WL woods view booked for our December Stay.

As described in PassPorter:

Standard rooms overlook the parking area and are close to the lobby.

Woods/Lodge view rooms overlook the woods and villas on south side and the woods on the MK side if facing north.

Courtyard or Lake view rooms offer panoramic views (pool, waterfall, lake, etc.)

tinknsnow, it sounds like you were upgraded to a woods view room.

Have stayed here many times in many different locations but the best spot we seem to enjoy is pool view on the south wing, ground floor. Easy walk out the sliding doors to pool side. Cons: ducks coming by and begging every morning, watching for geico's trying to sneak in,quite far to Roaring Forks commissory. Plus: closest to pool side, closest to pool bar, closest to dock area for rentals.
