We plan to be in Disney first week of Feb. It will be myself (Mom) my Dh, DD 31/2 and Ds 5 1/2. I would like to stay at the WL. Would it be good to break up the trip with another hotel such as the poly or an epcot resort like the BC? Any ideas?

We do it all the time now. Being DVC members, we most often split stays between VWL and BCV. If we need to pay cash for a few nights we split between WL or BC and the Poly.

We love it. It's like having two vacations in one. We don't have a problem with the switch since we live out of our suitcases on vacation anyway (so packing isn't a big deal) and we always have a car and move the bags ourselves, so the transfer is easy.

It's nice to split between a MK resort and an Epcot resort. That way you can plan a lot of MK time, with easy access, while you are at the WL......and plan a lot of Epcot/MGM time, with easy access, while you are at the BC. So that's what I'd do, WL and BC. In fact, that's what we are doing after Thanksgiving.

We are splitting our upcoming trip. YC for 2 nights and then 7 at WL. I am looking forward to experiencing 2 resorts we have never been to!!

I would suggest splitting with BC and Polynesian. That way you get some time over near Epcot and some time over near the MK. The MK is much easier to get to from the Polynesian and so is Epcot. WL boat takes a little while especially going through the no wake zone over by the Contemporary. The Polynesian boat gets you right there and even the monorail only stops at the GF before getting to the MK. Epcot from the Polynesian takes 15 minutes and yes I did time it. That included walking from the room to the TTC to catch the monorail.

One year we split our stay with YC and Polynesian and it was nice to spend time at each location. WL and Polynesian may be too much of the same area. You can always visit the WL when staying at the Polynesian.

::yes:: I agree wiht Tikiman. If that is not in your budget then I would split WL and BC.

First choice is Poly, though, for its convenience.

Another vote for splitting between Poly and BC unless budget only allows split between WL and BC. I wouldn't split between WL and Poly. They both are MK resorts even though Poly is on the monorail, which is one reason I would split between Poly and BC. I don't really care for the theming at the WL, but like the Poly and BC theming.
