WL - Rollerblading?

Thanks to all for your invaluable information - these boards have been amazingly helpful in my planning.

I am considering bringing my rollerblades to work off some of the Dining Plan indulgences during our trip in January. Are there paved paths at the Wilderness Lodge? Is the trail from WL to Fort Wilderness paved? It appears in pictures to be dirt, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that people rollerblade between resorts. Any WL experts out there that might know?

I am not sure but I don't think rollerblading is allowed on Disney property. If I am wrong I am sure someone more informative will correct me.

Florida law does not permit inline skating on roadways or parking lots. Ask a cast member where you could roller blade.

The only place I know of that rollerblading is OK in this area is the skate park located someplace near Universal, not even sure where it is.

I'd call someone at WDW or the WL to ask about inline skating, but there IS a paved walkway between WL and FW--it's the main path to get there. There is also a nature trail which undoubtedly is the one you saw in the pic. Having run the sidewalk-like main path to FW and back several times, I can assure you it is there; however, I can't say whether skating is allowed. I will say that the main trail never seems crowded so it should be safe enough. Good luck! aw:

My FW brochure verifies FL law does not permit on roadways or parking lots...."Please see a Resort Recreation Cast Member for information concerning in-line skating and scooters, as well as appropriate locations".

I would call before I packed them, the designated areas may not be convenient for you.

You can in-line skate on the path between the two and yes it is paved.
