We will be staying in the cabins for the first time in 2008! Can't wait!
Can we use the WL pool while we are there? Is it an impossible distance to walk if we can? Can you take a golf cart?

Thanks!

Such a great choice you made with the cabin ressies. You may want to explore a bit more on this thread concerning pool hopping at the WL. The opinions vary greatly!:confused3 While it is possible to walk to the WL, why not take the bus? :cool1: If your into offroading you could try to take a cart.....but be wary of the cart police they frown on such outings.:woohoo:

Best of all enjoy your stay at the campground!:goodvibes :goodvibes

While opinions may vary, the rules are clear - no pool hopping. While western themed, the Wilderness Lodge is not part of the Fort Wilderness Resort. As a cabin guest you are welcome to use the pool at the cabins or the meadows pool.

When you check in you will be asked to initial a statement that you acknowledge that there is no pool hopping.

Thank-you for the info! I do not want to pool hop if it is not allowed between WL and Fort Wilderness. There is so much to do onsite and I want to know what all our fun options will be. I appreaciate all your help and expertise!

Carts are not allowed off FW property. It has nothing to do with opinions or "cart police" - once again, it is Disney's rule. There is no parking for carts at WL anyway.

Now that I have my own cart I'm going to drive it to WL and park in the valet area and go for a dip in the pool. Afterwards I'm thinking of drinking a pitcher of Kungaloosh and driving fast around the blind corner behind the Meadows Trading Post.

NOT REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm just making sure Rhonda is awake lol.

You could be asking for trouble:rotfl: :lmao:

Oh - I'm awake! I'm always awake!! :thumbsup2

I can't believe you said she looks like Roz....

That comment sounds like Roz from Monsters Inc. I'm watching you Wazowski, always watching you. I better hush. Oh and Rhonda I'm not picturing you as Roz. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Gatordad, I said NOT picturing her as Roz. You're just trying to throw gas on the fire lol.

Donnie,

You cannot bring gas to the campfire, even if Roz says it's ok.

Personally, I find after eating the chili at TE it is impossible for me not to bring gas to the campfire.

By the way, for the OP, it is possible to walk to WL, but it is a bit of a hike. I just put that in so Rhonda won't lock us down.

While we're now sort of out grown the pool thing when the boys were younger (late 1980's to early/mid 1990's) and before they put the "no pool hopping" rule in effect their favorite pool was IIRC the CBR or maybe the Y&BC because of the themed setting and water slides. They also like the arcade there since I understand it was fairly large and this was before the one at the Meadows Pool opened.
