Okay all you resort veteran's, is it worth the extra $$$ to stay @ the WL over Por with two girls ages 8 plus my in-laws who have never been to Disney. Any help is appreciated....... Thanks....

Having stayed at both --- YES!!!

Okay, I guess it does depend somewhat on what your priorities are, but we found the following benefits of our WL stay:
-shorter commute to MK
-incredibly friendly cast members
-theming
-view from our room
-room itself (inside entry & slightly seperate dressing area) but overall room decor was better at POR
-private balcony
-more relaxed resort feeling

We do spend time each day at the resort. And I would advise renting a car if it fits in your budget, at either of these resorts.

If you can afford the price difference then yes go for WL. My view is that if a deluxe fits into your vacation buget then go for the deluxe.

We have stayed at both, and personally, I liked PO-R much better for the money. The WL rooms just didn't do it for me, and we didn't find that it was really that much more convenient. either. The lobby at WL is really nice, but you can visit and see that. We weren't impressed with the restaurants either. The pool was beautiful, but there were only 2 of them, and at PO-R you have a choice of 6 or 8. We didn't find WL to be anymore convenient, either. For my money, I would choose PO-R.

WL in a second!!!! Its not even close. You wanna impress that mother in law who's always on your back? Take her to WL and she will be gushing over you and thanking yu for the rest of her life!! I like all the moderates, but WL is a special experience never to be forgotten. And with all the codes and deals out, its not much more expensive. Ill be going for the second time this year in a couple days, and both times the price has been about $140/night after taxes.
