What would you do for a 2 night stay, and only going to the MK for one day. I heard the pool is great at the Poly how about WL?

I would go with the Polynesian because it's alot easier to get there with the Monorail, plus they also have a boat which goes there so you got two options. I have stayed at both Resorts and I liked the pool at better at the Polynesian, I also liked their theme better.

They are both really great resorts. You probably just need to decide what can of atmosphere do you want on this trip, polynesian or outdoorsy. Have a great time either way!

Not sure if it makes a difference to you or not, but WL rooms are priced lower than the Poly - rooms at WL are smaller but still large enough. Also, the WL is smaller and self-contained. (The hotel rooms are all in one building with interior corridors.) The Poly has separate longhouses - meaning an outside walk to get from your room to the main building. (Fine if weather is nice ... maybe not so much during a really humid or rainy day.) The theming at both is beautiful! As for transportation, the Poly does have the monorail, but the ferry to/from the WL-MK is a really nice treat. The Poly has the better pool - although the one at WL is fine too. I've stayed at the WL (and would again). I've visited the Poly and would love to someday stay there too. For the extra cost of the Poly though, that would be a trip were I wasn't going to spend as much time at the parks in order to really enjoy the hotel! HTH - I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time no matter which resort you choose.

WL is my favorite resort. It's just beautiful and it is convenient to MK via the boat ride. I love taking the boat. It's a ride unto itself and one of my fave things to do at the world.

Have never stayed at Poly, but have eaten there, roamed the grounds. It's a beautiful resort. It's big plus is being on the monorail line. Very convenient to both MK and EPCOT.

Big difference is price. Poly is significantly more expensive. Myself, I can't justify the cost difference.

I'd stay at the Polynesian. From what I've read the monorail goes directly to both Epcot and the MK. Plus, I've been in the Old Faithful Inn dozens of times.
