If you want to see a lot of posts on the villas go over to the Disney Vacation Club message board on this site. Those are DVC resorts and are a constant topic of discussion there. The villas at VWL and BWV are essentially the same size and design (theming is significantly different). The 2BR is about 1076 sg ft. with a living room , kitchen (refrig, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffe pot, etc.), washer/dryer, large master bedroom with a king bed, large bathroom with an entrance from the master bedroom and kitchen area, walk in closet; pull-out queen size sofa in living room; second bedroom has a queen and sofa/pull-out double bed, its own mini-kitchen, half-sized refrig, sink, microwave, coffe-pot, and a bathroom that has the sink outside the bathroom itself.
If you instead reserve two connecting rooms at WL or the BW Inn (villa side does not have connecting studios), you get about 680 sg ft at WL (each room is in the 340 sg ft range) or 760 sg ft at BWI (each room is in the 380 range). You get two gueens in each room (although WL also has some rooms with a queen and a bunk) and BWI has a small daybed in each room. You don't get the kitchen, W/D, the size of the villas, or other advantages of a 2BR.
As far as cost goes, the 2BR's are high at Disney regular rates although there are sometimes discount rates. You might want to consider renting from a DVC owner (see the DVC rent/trade board on this a site) as the price that way is usually significantly less.
