Thinking changing my POR ressie for a deluxe.

I have my 4yo son, DH and I. We're staying for 3 nights.

Any suggestions on WL or BC for our stay?

Transportation issues/pros/cons with either?

Pros/Cons of each?

Wow, that is a hard decision! Where are you going to be spending more park time? Magic Kingdom or Epcot? I would decide from there, because the WL is more conveinent to MK and BC to Epcot. :)

BC has a much nicer pool.

BC is sooo convenient and is all about atmosphere. We loved it! It has SAB, Cape May Cafe, the marketplace with gelato, closeness to the BW entertainment, easy access to Epcot and MGM, and Art! That is our favorite resort of all.

Just noticed that you seem to be going in December 2007. For what it's worth, assuming both hotels have availability, I'd recommend BC for a very simple reason. You're MUCH closer (walking distance) to 2 other deluxe hotels (Yacht Club & Boardwalk Inn), both of which should be decked out for the holiday season. If you're at WL, you can't walk to any other hotel easily, except for over to Fort Wilderness (never seen their holiday decorations, so can't comment on what they do/don't do). Take in all the holiday atmosphere at all the deluxe hotels you can!

Enjoy the Magic!

I agree that it depends which park you think you will spend more time at. When my kids were younger we were all about MK and if that is the case I would stay at WL for sure. It is an enjoyable boat ride away to MK that leaves right from the back of the hotel. Also is it right next door to FW which host the Mickey Backyard BBQ and the Hoop De Do Revue--both wonderful for a 4 yr old. Oh and did I mention it is a beautiful resort. That being said, BC is so close to Epcot and Mgm as well the boardwalk which has a lot to do in itself. I have wanted to try BC but my dh and kids will only go to WL!!:rotfl:
Lots of Luck with your decision.:thumbsup2

For only 3 nights, a lot of your decision hinders on which park you're planning to spend the most time at. If it's MK, then I'd say go with WL or have you considered Poly? Poly would just be a quick monorail ride away from both MK and Epcot. And you can see the Castle from the Poly pool and watch Wishes from the beach.

However, if you are flexible with your park plans, then I'd definitely say to stay at BC. BC is our favorite resort. The sandy bottom pool is shallow and filled with sand so that the toddlers don't get hurt. There are also mounds of sand to play in that lead directly into the shallow pool. It's an awesome pool area for age 4. Also, Beaches & Cream is at BC which has great ice cream treats. And a character breakfast right at BC too. You can watch Illuminations from lots of places in the BC area, you can walk right into Epcot, walk right over to the Boardwalk, and walk/boat to MGM. If your son falls asleep in his stroller after the Fantasmic night show at MGM, you can leave him in there and just boat or walk back to BC. We love doing that with our twins. We grab a snack or drink before leaving MGM and just enjoy some adult time walking together as our twins sleep.

Let us know what you decide and if you have any specific questions. Happy planning!

DH complicated matters for me.. Per our budget, we can stay 3 nights at BC/WL or 5 nights at POR.

I think I am going to take the MOD for the extra Disney time.

Thanks for the suggestions -- I plan to try the other resorts later in the year!!
