We are having an intimate wedding at Disney in December 2004. We are going to be staying in a honeymoon suite at the WL lodge. I was hoping someone would give me some advice on which honeymoon suite I should try to request. I know there is only 4 honeymoon suites but didnt know if one might be better than another. We'd like to have a view of the castle and the lake. We'd also like to have the most peaceful suite too. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks lots.

The 4 honeymoon suites are on the 7th floor above the lobby. I looked at one that was over the reception desk. View was not that good, not sure if you can see the castle from the rooms on the other side. The WL is my favorite resort but I was very disappointed in the honeymoon room and I was glad I got to tour it last October. I changed my reservation to the Boardwalk Inn.

Yes - the rooms over Whispering canyon DO have a view of the castle...we were put in the HM room over the reception desk. (I forget the room numbers...I'll ask my hubby, he might know.)

the room wasn't bad...big room, amoire, king sized bed, 2 nightstands, 2 chairs, table, nothing too wild. Private balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The bathroom was nice - whirlpool tub for 2.

but the one thing that sucked was this - the shower is in the whirlpool tub...so if you are tall and have long hair, you have to lean back pretty far to rinse your hair out. (I did, pulled my back, and ended up at urgent care later that afternoon for muscle spasms...yep, on my honeymoon!) On the other hand - if you are short - good luck getting INTO the tub...it's kinda tricky.

the HM rooms face the lobby - so they can be pretty loud in the morning (especially with WCC right below) but it was nice being so close to concierge...grab a glass or 2 of wine and head back to the room!

It was nice and all...but honestly, I think that room is WAY overpriced. We had split our stay between WL and AKL...stayed at WL for 3 or 4 nights and then 7 or 8 nights at AKL after that...we enjoyed AKL so much better.
