My 11 yr old nephew, my Mom and I are going to WDW for the week of Thanksgiving 2004. We are staying at the WL. Does anyone have any suggestions about rooms? Is it worth spending the extra money for "courtyard view"? What are Jr. Suites? I've heard them mentioned but I can't find any price info on them? I've never stayed at the WL before so any info would be appreciated. :earsboy:

Well I really can't help you with a room request. We just stay in a standard and take what they give us - never a problem. We're not really in the room long enough to justify a particular view. We did ask for a bunk room though for DS & DD. I think you'll love WL - especially at Thanksgiving. Thinking about taking a trip in Nov too and considering going back to WL.

I too was wondering about the Jr Suites. Can't find info on pricing. Hope someone here can help.

We stayed at WL for four nights the first of which was thanksgiving. We actually had two different reservations. The first two nights was a woods views (only because there were no standards available when I booked) and the second was an AP rate courtyard view. The only reason that we even went for the courtyard view was because of the AP rate which made it cheaper than even a standard. Luckily for us, upon checking in the CM told us that we would be in the same courtyard view room for our entire stay and that we would just have to come down and recheck in sometime on the day that our new reservation started. We were really excited (probably more so about not having to pack up and move after two nights than anything). The view from our room was awesome. We were on the forth floor which I believe was actually only one floor up from the lobby just about 3 rooms down the wing from the main lobby. Our room looked faced the other wing of the lodge and we could see the people sitting out in the rocking chair right outside the lobby. We were also able to see the electric water parade from our balcony. That was pretty cool. I have to say that I was very impressed with the view. It's really nice to be able to sit out there and relax (something we missed once we switched to POR - that and sitting by the fireplaces) but I have to say that we didn't really do it that much just because we were always running around.
