WL Flag Family Of The Day pics added! - Birthday Magic and Disney Diva Hair.

Oh my goodness, I've missed so many updates!

Brendan's birthday at Epcot looked like such a perfect day! There really is no better place for anyone to celebrate their birthday than Disney.

The picture of Brendan running off with his stroller was hilarious. :lmao:

What a wonderful experience at BBB! I can't wait until my DD is old enough to do it and enjoy it. :cutie:

Brenden sure had a great birthday. Too funny about him visiting with the dwarfs. He is all boy and curious.

I love the BBB update. We did this too and although Danielle is older she loved it.:lovestruc We actually brought a dress with us that she had picked out from the Disney website. I actually got it on sale, it play into the story of her big reveal. I don't think she'll want to dress up again but she would love to go back and get the crown package again. What girl doesn't like to be made to feel like a Princess.

Your experience at BBB sounds exactly like me (silently praying that your DD picks in the bun style). I'm not a big fan of the other styles either but that child looks so adorable...I'm glad you went with it!!! She looks like a puff of pink cotton candy goodness :cloud9:

Your FGIT looks like she really got into it too! That makes all the difference at BBB.

Who is on the super cute tshirt you are wearing in the family pics?

So didn't know that you are a Disney Travel agent. I just heard from a girl from Elem School who is too and she was telling me all about. So jealous of you both. I would LOVE to do that part-time.

I loved all the pics and videos! What a great experience at BBB! She looks so happy and cute :-) Kind of glad I don't have a girl! BBB is expensive and I know I would be doing it for my daughter! :goodvibes

Oh yes, girls are expensive. I save so much money with Brendan! Though, I probably will let him do the pirate makeover when he gets older. I'm sure Miles and Owen would LOVE that too:love:

LOVE your updates!!!

SO funny that your DS got in with the dwarfs! You are right, boys will be boys

His cookie bouquet and Mickey present are to die for! Great job!

LOVE BBB moments!!! We agree in doing the classic princess bun, BUT, I think that Susan did a wonderful job with the pink hair. It looked classic! Your DD seemed SO happy :cloud9: You are right, that photopass pic could be used as an ad for BBB!

Can't wait to hear what other Mommy/Daughter moments you guys have :lovestruc

Oh, it was hilarious when Brendan escaped into the topiary. We laughed so hard. How can you be mad at that:rotfl:

He loved his presents. Just when he thought his special day was over, there were more suprises for him! I did that for Aubrey's birthday trip too. There was a present for her when we got back to our room. It was a pair of Belle flip flops that she had seen earlier that week. She was so excited! I love doing those kinds of things:)

Her hair really did turn out cute. It made me smile every time I looked at her! Susan was absolutely wonderful! And the photopass pic was such a nice suprise!

Our mommy/daughter day only got better. Can't wait to tell you all about it!

I know, I have been an updating queen! I am just so excited to share this trip with everyone. I actually have to stop myself from updating! I could just keep going and going and going!!!

I totally agree with you, there is no where to spend a birthday like Disney:love: I wish I could do my birthday there but it's on 12/19 and I don't want to experience those Christmas crowds:scared1: That's why we're going the first week of December. It's going to be my birthday trip:thumbsup2

BBB is a great experience. I was leary about doing it because of the cost but let me tell you, as you will see in my next few updates, we got our moneys worth out of that hairdo! And the experience was really priceless. We will be doing it again for sure!

Glad you're all caught up! Can't wait to share more of our story!!!

Brendan had a perfect birthday! I sure hope he remembers it when he's older. I'm sure he will, and the hundreds of pics that I took will jog his memory if he forgets:laughing:

You know, I was supposed to bring Aubrey's Belle dress from home but I totally forgot to pack it:rolleyes1 So we just had to improvise. Thankfully, I had packed her blue sparkly skirt outfit. It worked out great! I may have to do like you did for out next trip and find one on sale. That castle package price is just crasy! And I'm so tempted to do it myself. There was a mom and daughter getting the same hair when we were in there. They looked so cute. I don't know if I could pull off the Disney Diva look though:rotfl:

That is a perfect way to describe her! It totally looked like cotton candy! And she was just so in love with it. How could I not think she was beautiful. It was perfect:cloud9:

Susan was just wonderful. She is really the reason it was such a special experience. Aubrey still talks about her!

The shirt I have on in our pics is a Minnie Mouse shirt. I got it at the Disney store on sale a few months before our trip. That's where I got all of our character shirts. I  the Disney store and they closed the one here in Baton Rouge so now I have to drive to New Orleans (about an hour away) to shop. It's probably for the best though:rolleyes1 But I did love going there just to get my Disney fix!

Yes, I work for a travel agency called Off To Neverland. Too cute, eh! I've been doing it on the side for about 2 years now. I was always planning friends and family trips so one day I decided to Google it and see if there was any way I could actually make a little but of $ doing it. I found OTN and signed on. It's nothing that pays my bills or anything but it's a lot of fun. I can message you with details if you want. You can do as little or as much as you want. All you have to do is pay a registration fee. I am also able to book other types of travel besides Disney. I just haven't really gotten into that yet. My plan is to get more into the travel industry once the kids go back to school. How awesome would it be to travel for a living! Like Samantha Brown. Do you know that show?? I wish I was her!

Oh, and I don't know why I've never noticed your TR link in your siggy! I'm off to check it out:thumbsup2

Tough life you have having to go to NOLA for shirts!!! I love New Orleans. Love love love it! I've been 5 times and it's not nearly enough. The food the music the food ;) I threw my BFF's Bachelorette party there because I love it so much (and we live in Boston!)

Obsessed with Samantha Brown. My dog walker is actually friends with her. Isn't that a weird coincidence? She went away for a girls weekend and I was looking through her pics from the trip and said "OMG you ran into Samantha BROWN??? I want to BE her" Realized really quickly how stupid I sounded when I realized that Samantha was actually ON the trip with her!

The whole travel agent thing is something I would love to do part time. Can't really give up the "real" job. They wouldn't even need to pay me! I'd be happy with the TA discounts!!! I plan all my friend's trips for free now anyway :rotfl:

Come on over to my PTR. 27 days til our first DVC stay!!!!! :cool1:

Yes, NOLA is a wonderful place and I take for granted that we are so close. We actually may be taking a trip down there tomorrow to hang out in the quarter, depending on the rain and the oil spill insanity going on right now.

OMG, how funny about Samantha Brown. Since I can't be here, I sure would love to be friends with her and go on vacations with her. You know she's got that down!

Just caught up on your PTR. 27 days:banana::cool1::banana::cool1:

Hello everyone. I hope I didn't bore you all too much with my novel on BBB. It was just such a wonderful experience. I want to do it again right now! But I can't so for now, on with the TR.

After showing off her new do to daddy, we decided to head over to Jungle Cruise. Jason had gotten us FP's while we were in BBB and it was now time to use them. I know this ride is so cheesy but it's fun. I thought the kids would enjoy it more than they did but they really seemed that they couldn't care less. Oh well, I took some pics anyway...

It was fun but not completely memorable for us. It was now about 1:30 or so and it was time for Aubrey and I to leave the boys again and head over to the GF for our Afternoon Tea!!! I was sooooo excited about this. I had scheduled this twice before on previous trips and just never got around to going. I had forgotten my itinerary and couldn't remember exactly what time our ADR was for so I called dining to find out. Um, well, yeah.. they didn't have a reservation for me:scared1: I knew exactly what happened. I booked the tea at the same that that I booked BBB because I wanted Aubrey to be able to go to tea with her disney makeover. So I booked the tea first and then BBB. But when we went to book BBB, it wasn't available on the same day that I booked the tea. Sooooo, I had to book BBB then cancel the origial Tea ADR and rebook that for the same day as BBB. Whew. Got all that! So, what seemed to have happened is that they cancelled the first tea but didn't rebook it on the BBB day. I asked the CM on the phone what my chances were for getting in as a walk up. She said it would be worth a shot so we went, fingers crossed. Aubrey and I hopped on the monorail and were at the GF in no time. I had to ask where the tea room was because I had never noticed it. It's all the way at the end of the lobby in a cute little room surrounded by windows. I understood immediately why it was so hard to get an ADR here because of the size of the place. It was tiny. When we got there, there was a baby shower just ending. How awesome is that? Having a baby shower at the Grand Floridian Tea Room. Awesome! Anyway, it was still a little before 2:00 and that's when they open up for the day. I walked over to the podium which already had a line and held my breath as I went to check in. Ok, so here's where a little white lying came into play. In my mind, I had convinced myself that maybe my ADR did get moved but because of the craziness of the situation, the CM didn't see it. So I was going with that when the CM at the podium asked if I had a reservation. I reluctantly said "yes". Technically, it was TRUE! Not my fault people. So, this is when I realized that God was smiling down on me and wanted me and my beautiful daughter to get into this tea. The CM said, "Well, our system is down now but I trust you. Here's your pager." Did I feel guilty, yes. Was I thrilled to get a table, absolutely. Do I think I'm going to hell for this, not a chance. God was on my side with this one. Sooooooo, we still had a few minutes to kill so I got some cute pics of Aubrey...

DSC_0525.jpg

Here she is posing on Mrs. Potts just outside the tea room. I had never noticed this before and it was extra special since just days before, Aubrey played Mrs. Potts in the Story Time With Belle show!

DSC_0527.jpg

The only way I could get her to take a serious picture was to let her do a silly face after each silly one. So here ya go...

DSC_0528.jpg

After just a few minutes of waiting, we were seated. Our waitress was great. I told her that we had never been there and I had no idea what to expect. She explained the menu to me and what teas would be good for Aubrey (ie: the sweeter ones and the ones with no caffiene) But she was still very sophisticated about it. She talked to Aubrey like she was a little lady, telling her to put her napkin on her lap and to be careful with the china. Yes, that's right, china. We would be eating off of and drinking out of REAL china! Ok, she can do this. I was a little worried but confident in my little princess. On the table was two beautiful tea cups and a pot of sugar cubes with pinchers to pick up the cubes.

gf-tea.jpg

Here is Aubrey "reading" her menu and deciding what to eat...

DSC_0531.jpg

She (I) decided she would have Mrs. Potts Tea - ham and cheese sandwiches and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. She absolutely LOVES chocolate covered strawberries and that had been all she was talking about and how she was going to get them at our tea! The only problem was was that the strawberries today were covered in white chocolate instead of regular chocolate. It took some convincing but eventually she said that that was ok. And of course, she ended up loving them. She was also able to choose her very own tea. She (I) chose the Princess Breakfast tea - with vanilla bean, South African organic rooibos, and a hint of strawberries.

I chose for myself Buckingham Palace - traditional tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts complimented by fresh strawberries & cream, or a selection of freshly baked pastries, served with your choice of tea. Yes, I am copying and pasting these things directly from the menu. The tea I chose was the Mad Hatter. I don't have its description but I remember it was red and yummy.

As we sat there waiting for our order, I looked around and noticed that the place was far from full. This made my guilt go away a little bit. At least I hadn't taken the table of someone that was now waiting on me. It was fine. Here is a shot of the restaurant. This is not where we were sitting, just a shot of the whole place. See, not very big...

gf-tea4.jpg

Our tea arrived first. We each got our own pot!!! They were serious about their tea here, can I tell you! The waitress, wish I could remember her name, told us that she cooled Aubrey's tea down a bit so it was probably now a perfect temp for our little princess. She poured Aubrey a cup and added two lumps of sugar. I poured myself a cup and sat and waited to see Aubrey's reaction to her first warm tea (we drink iced tea here every day so having it warm was something new for her). She LOVED it! Seriously, she ended up drinking every drop out of that pot! And Mine was delicious too! I probably had too much!

DSC_0532.jpg

You can see our sandwiches had made it out too. Aubrey was chowing down on hers and mine, oh wow, were so good. I can't remember exactly what they were but I do remember that the last one was roasted pears with gorganzola. OMG. Soooo good! There was also a carmelized onion tart and a scone with real whipped butter. It was heavenly.

And look at my baby girl holding her tea cup like a lady...

DSC_0536.jpg

Then it came time for dessert. I guess Aubrey talking so much about strawberries made me want some too so I ordered the strawberries and cream...

gf-tea6.jpg

And this was not cool whip or anything that came out of a can. This was real, heavy cream whipped by hand. And tons of it. I could have bathed in it!!!

And here is Aubrey enjoying her WHITE chocolate covered strawberries...

DSC_0540.jpg

It was an amazing meal and something that everyone should do really, guys included. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Overall, it was just a really fun experience!

We finished up our meal and headed back out towards the monorail. One last pic of the princess overlooking the lobby. What a pretty place...

DSC_0544.jpg

The plan was to take the monorail back to MK and then hop on the boat to WL. Aubrey wanted to take some pics while on the boat ride but before she stole the camera away from me, I managed to get a cute one of her...

DSC_0549.jpg

And here are a few of her great shots.

First, me. Of course...

DSC_0551.jpg

Now, her pictures look a little blurry because she was taking them through the glass side of the boat. She got really good at it. She was able to catch two boats that passed us by...

DSC_0560.jpg

Now, this next picture is similar to the Tron Monorail picture accident. One of the boat drivers on an earlier trip told us that we were crossing over one of only 8 water bridges in the country. That means that there is a road passing underneath us as we float across a shallow bridge filled with water. Pretty friggin cool. Well, I kept forgetting to take a picture of it and when I was going back through all of our shots, I saw that Aubrey actually got one!

DSC_0561.jpg

It's hard to tell but you can see the concrete barricade and space mountain in the distance. That's the road that runs down by the contemporary and passes under the water bridge. Pretty cool eh? Thanks Aubrey!

OOOH the tea party looks so fun! We never seem to have enough time to do that but I really want to. I think you are the first TR I've read where someone has done it and taken such fab pics to show it all!

Love the pic of her drinking like a little southern belle (with pink cotton candy hair!)

I just caught up on the whole trip report today and I am enjoying it so much. The photos are all wonderful and I've had a good laugh at times too. I cant wait to read more! :D

This is a lovely update. I can't view your pictures, but your descriptive writing has done a wonderful job of helping my imagination. I've never done the tea but after reading this I'm dying to try it with my girls. I love strawberries.:lovestruc And now you have made me very hungry.

looks like I'll be upgrading photobucket today. Sorry about that!!!!

Sorry about that everyone! I had no idea I was so close to needing to upgrade on Photobucket! Didn't mean to keep you hanging. I'm good now for another year:thumbsup2

Hopefully an new update to come tonight!

It was a really special meal for Aubrey and I. We are going to make it a tradition from now on:)

Her pink hair was the icing on the cake for these cute tea pics:rotfl:

The strawberries were AMAZING! That cream... ummmmmmm. I could eat it all again right now! It really wasn't that expensive either. I think it cost $30 for the two of us and it was a ton of food! Y'all should do it:thumbsup2

Thanks!!! If you are a tea lover (whic I know you are:) ) you should def check it out!

Yeah, we thought the bridge thing was really neat! Love all those little tid bits. Glad you enjoyed it too!

Yeah, I had to actually pay for photobucket since I have so many pics on there. It was only $25 for the year so I figured it was worth it.

Awesome updates! I've never seen a trip report with someone going to the tea party either! Actually, I don't think I really knew about the tea party! Aubrey looked so precious. How many days do you typically stay on your vacation? You are giving me lots of ideas, but I'm not sure how to schedule it all in. Do you make an actual day by day schedule? I'm thinking of doing an Excel spreadsheet and try to map out what we will want to do, but I don't want to go crazy and become the schedule Nazi - kwim? :) I know you said you were much more laid back this trip, but what kind of schedule did you make, if any?

The tea party sounds so wonderful! That's great that you were able to make it in! I love reading about your experiences with Aubrey. You're doing things I can't wait to do with my DD.

Great TR!!:goodvibes I started reading this past wknd. All caught up now.
We usually go this time of year (every other year) and I'm having withdrawals!!;) Even tho we've been several times, we love that there are still things we haven't experienced yet. More reason to continue going back. Like the tea, I would love to do that with my girls!!:thumbsup2 We did do the BBB last time and they loved it!! Your FGIT looked like she did a wonderful job!!

Love the pic of Aubrey with the fan!! So cute!!:cutie:

OMG! I'm so glad Aubrey had a great BBB experience! My daughter also had Susan as her fairy godmother her first visit to BBB! She is the sweetest and takes so much time talking to the girls! I was hoping to see her again last year but we weren't as lucky with our fairy godmother experience. Here is a picture of my daughter (Alyssa) with Susan in 2008!
