hi-
i am a wl virgin & we will be arriving there on 1/30 for 8 days.
we have a concierge reservation but i am curious about the
location of the deluxe rooms and if that is an option? since we
will be there with a toddler for that many days i think i would
appreciate the room in the, well, room if we can get a deluxe room.
any suggestions.....
thanks in advance-

According to Glen (one of the concierge CM's at the WL) people staying in deluxe rooms can add concierge services at check-in. I'm not sure what the cost would be, but he said people do it all the time.

The main problem is just finding availability for those few deluxe rooms. I've never been able to snag one. ;)

The Deluxe Rooms are located at the ends of the North and South Wings. The South wing Deluxe rooms have a view of Bay Lake and when we stayed in them we could always watch EWP from the balcony.

DELUXE-TWO QUEEN BEDS & ONE SOFA BED (sleeps 6) The Deluxe Guest Room has a sitting area separated from the bedroom by french doors, additional television, refrigerator with ice machine, coffeemaker, and wet bar.

From the picture the South Wing is just to the left of the pool. The North Wing is to the right.

Hope this helped, I know you and your family will love the WL

well when i called to make my reservation for a deluxe room i was informed it WAS a concierge room, not that i could upgrade it. This will be my first time at WL as well and i am soooooooo looking forward to it!!

my aaa travel agent was very confused making my reservations & already i found a screw up that she blamed disney for but my concierge cm from wl assured me it was aaa's error.
i still cant get a straight answer about the deluxe suite & if it's concierge.
i'll use the info you guys posted when i make my calls on monday.
just curious-how many suites are there?

The deluxe rooms aka junior suites at WL do NOT come with concierge service. You would have to add it at check-in if it were available.

Disney switched their website around a little and the honeymoon suites are now called deluxe rooms and those DO come with concierge.

I do not know how many junior suites there are.

There are actually 25 "Deluxe Rooms" (Junior Suites) They are 1000, 1003, 1166, 1169, 2000, 2003, 2123, 2166, 2169, 3000, 3003, 3123, 3166, 3169, 4000, 4003, 4123, 4166, 4169, 5000, 5003, 5123, 5166, 5169 and 6123

All of these rooms do offer a connecting option that would be a room with 2 queen beds or a room with one king bed that is either woods or courtyard view. Rooms X000 are the rooms in the North wing that are at the very end of the hall on the left corner, Contemporary side they are Lake/tree view, X003 are the 2 doors down on the right corner with a pool/lake/tree view rooms X123 are halfway down the south wing in the left corner overlooking the pool/lake/geyser. Room X166 is the room at the far end of the south wing on the left corner with a lake view and rooms X169 are 2 doors down on the right corner also with a lake view. Rooms 2123, 3123, 1166, 1169, 2166, and 2169 have "doormer balconies, due to the design of the building these rooms have brick on the balcony railing so you can not see out unless you are standing up (if you sit you see brick), just FYI.

Would know..::yes:: He is WL Vet that helps with up-keeping the room locations...On all my stays in the Deluxe Rooms have stayed in South Wing and I was told that's where the Jr. Suits where located...but FC information is correct because on my last stay I was near some rooms that looked like Jr Suits but where half way down the hallway...::yes:: So I wasn't sure, only posted what I knew. I do know I didn't stay concierge...but have read that it can be added to rooms not on the 7th floor.

Good Luck.:earsboy:
