If we stay at the WL - regular guest
Can we use the pool at the WL - AND - the WL DVC pool ?

Does the WL pool stiil use bromine and let ducks swim in it ?

Does the WL DVC pool use bromine or clorine ?
Do ducks swim in the WL DVC pool ?

Both pools look like they have had improvements since the last time we stayed there.

Thank you for your expertise !

I was always under the impression that the Boulder Ridge pool was for DVC guests only. Since we pay to keep it up as part of our dues, it seems strange that they would let the regular hotel guests utilize it, too. The bigger question is why anybody staying at the main lodge would want to use the DVC pool, as the main pool has more features. Perhaps the rules have changed with the addition of Copper Creek, so correct me if I'm wrong.

The only DVC resorts that have a pool that is restricted to the guests staying in that resort are Bay Lake Towers, OKW and SSR. All of the other DVC resort pools are open to the guests of both of the resorts on property and it has been that way since they first opened. :)

The answer to the bigger question is that the DVC pools are quiet pools and not everyone wants to hear the pool party noise and use the slides. :) The DVC pool at WL has always been open to the guests at WL.

BRV and CCV dues also pay for the "main" pool, and the hotel pays a share towards the Geyser Point pool.

Sort of related - is the Geyser Point restaurant only accessible through the pool gate? I would think they would want anybody to go to the restaurant.

Thanks, I haven't been to WL since 2005 so I have no idea what a lot of the new areas look like! Looking forward to seeing it in 5 weeks!
The Wilderness Lodge looks great now. Geyser Point and the new villas pools are fantastic additions to the resort. :) We will be there in September. :)

Pre-Construction, when we stayed at WL, we liked the DVC pool 'cause it was quiet. There were never more than a handful of people. The main pool was always crowded.

thank you - we like a quiet pool too and never mind a nice walk
The bar/restaurant looks great for food and the views ;)
