WL August Mini-Meet thread

I'm pretty sure the 18th will be fine. We will be heading back to the resort right after Fantasmic also. I'm usually an early riser, but who knows what will happen to me by the end of the week, ha. I don't know where the porch is yet, but I can smell coffee a long way off, so I'll find ya on the 20th.

Cool.

Now we're looking to see if Cupmom or LisaRN can make it.

I PM'd a few others who posted similar dates on the WL FAQ thread so maybe some more will come over and join us????

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting to post this.

Any night I am back at the Lodge I plan on watching Wishes from the 6th floor viewing area. Come on up and join me on the 17th, 20th, or the 21st. The 22nd is a maybe.

Okay, I've got all the minimeets on my itinerary, so even I totally lose my mind while there, I've got in down in hard copy. Can't wait to see what everyone looks like "in real life".

i am up for laundry meetings and meeting at the resort at night after the kids are in bed
i will pm people with my real name and all that stuff

Awesome. So the 18th & 20th it is for those who can make it. Hooray! I can't wait to meet everyone in person. How does 7 am sound on the 20th? Is that too early or too late? I can go either way. I suggest we meet at Roaring Forks and then if we want to go sit somewhere else we can do that.

The 18th sounds good. We check in that day and then ADR's at 6:30 at Chef Mickeys. I pretty sure we'll head back to the WL afterwards. 10:00 Territory lounge sounds good. Now if I will remember it, that's another story. :rotfl:

I just enabled PM, I hope it's working

Cricket,
I put 7:00 am on my itinerary for the 20th. Will see you with coffee in hand.

man its hot! Us New Englanders will be getting use to the heat by the end of next week - we'll be thinking we're in FL already!
suppose to be in the 90s all week

Who's been walking around in their sandals that they're wearing in FL? I walk Alot! but usually in sneakers - time to break in the sandals again.

How are the diets going? getting back into the routine of drinking your water so you dont need to think about it once in FL?

I bought those Crocs everyone raves about. I just can't get the hang of walking in them. I don't like loose shoes. I also have new EasySpirits to break in. Have to start drinking the water, starting tomorrow. Thanks for the advice.

good eveing ladies
I am in for the 18th at 10pm the territory lounge
and the 7am roaring fork on the 20th
is there anything else going on ??

i also thought about the crocs but there are not many places that sell them around here and i dont wanna buy them online and hate them

No Crocs here either. I just don't get them. I'll be wearing my Nike Sandals. By the way if anyone has a Nike Outlet near them they are having a friends and family sale this weekend. You are supposed to have a coupon and it's worth 35% off. I went in a few weeks ago and asked them if they have a PE teacher discount (I am one) and they gave the coupon good for this weekend. So if you don't have a coupon ask them about the discount. We're going today and taking advantage! I love my sandals and highly recommend them for Disney. I started wearing Nike sandals on our honeymoon 7 years ago and haven't worn tennis shoes during the days at Disney since!

On the water note, I'm a Weight Watchers member so I drink water all the time. I will start getting my kids to drink more water. They love milk, they like water also, but their drink of choice is milk. It's great most of the time because it's so healthy but when your at an amusement park of any kind it's not so easy to find milk and then we have to throw half of it away because we can't keep it cold.

Good Morning everyone!!

The 18th has been added to my itinerary as well as the 20th. Are we scheduling pool meets or leaving those to chance?

Has anyone here used the Cubs Den (I think thats what its called) for watching the kids?

Do any of our hubbies wish to meet or do they all just think we're insane?

Are ppl still meeting Tues 15th 2pm at the pool? I'll be there!

I'd love to meet you tues but I won't be there yet...

Are you going to JellyRolls? I read a post where you were asking about it. What is JellyRolls?

We have one too young to go to the Cub's Den so we have a Fairy Godmother coming to our room instead. It's actually cheaper to do this instead of the Cub's Den if you are planning on being gone for at least 4 hours. It's great, we've used them twice before this.

JellyRolls is at the Boardwalk. I think it's the Piano Bar but I'm not sure. We've never been there. We enjoy going to Pleasure Island.

We thought about doing this but then decided against it as both of ours cant go to the cunbs den as the baby is 2. The 7 year old didnt want to be without his brother so and I am not comfortable leaving the kids with a stranger.

We had a hard time the first time we used the Fairy Godmothers also. Our first DS was only 18 months at the time. Our 7 year old nephew was staying behind also and my sister-in-law's mother stayed behind and was 2 doors down so we went ahead and had them come. What a wonderful experience. We went ahead and hired them last year again but we had 4 kids staying behind. 6, 4, 3 & 14 months. Again it was a great experience. All the Fairy Godmothers are moms or grandmothers so I felt very comfortable.
