WL and BW Questions...

I've got two questions regarding a trip in late August...

When staying at the BW (or BC, Swan, or Dolphin) and coming into EPCOT through the international gateway entrance, where do they hold you before rope drop? Is it right at the international gateway, or is it closer to futureworld? I'd imagine that if it's at the international gateway that you waste 15 minutes walking to FW.

Also, after Wishes at night at the MK, how crowded do the boats back to the WL get? We've all done the cattle drive known as getting on the monorail or ferry back to the TTC. Is the rush for the WL boats any better? In your expert opinions, is that something that makes the WL a more attractive option as a resort?

Thanks!

I really would like to know the answer to these questions as well.

I remember standing and waiting by the Int'l gateway bridge -- and yes, we had to really move fast so that we could get to Soarin.

When Wishes is finished, most people leave the MK. The monorail and boat are packed.....you might have to get on the next boat. Stay at WL only if you plan on spending most of your time at MK. We enjoy the EPCOT area, and spend a lot of time at EPCOT and the Studios.

I actually had very good luck in September with the back and forth between WL and MK. Unlike the boat, at least at that time, the bus did not stop at Fort Wilderness. I timed it several times, the bus took 5 minutes. Once it came is at 4 minutes!!!!:scared1:

I know September is on of the slowest times, if not THE slowest, but it was great.

I even went to EPCOT via the MK and the EPCOT monorail.

It was a lot of walking.

I think the bus to EPCOT is better.

We are staying at both WL and BWV this summer. I think we will go to MK while at WL, and EPCOT and MGM while we are ar BWV.

Not sure if we will make it to AK at all.

Has anyone else recently been to WL and had the same good experience with quick bus rides to and from MK with no stops for Fort Wilderness? I was curious whether we lucked out last September or what???
