Hi, WISH teammates!
I've been enjoying this "recovery" week. I'm looking into racing more so I can cut down on workouts.
Mel: Last weekend's weather really was ideal, wasn't it? It didn't feel close to 90 because the humidity was so much lower than I am used to in Florida. Summer is coming soon for all of us, I hope! And good job getting the miles in even though you didn't want to.
Dave: The feeling you get when you finish your race makes all those terrible, hard days getting the miles in worth it. Each step brings you closer to your next race! Good job!
Johanna: Oooh! A Wii Fit! I don't have a Wii, but I love playing my brother's (especially when my uncoordinated self beats him!). Nice gift! And good luck with W3!
Shan, we'll be there with you cheering you along the way as we do the Donald (although I'll be cheering you from the back!). That news about someone getting faster is encouraging, though--at least it gives you reason to believe you won't lose a lot afterward (and if you get a lot faster, you can grab a drink, have your photo taken, get a massage, and get back to cheer us at the finish line after the Donald!). Your commitment to getting your steps in every day makes me feel like a slug who needs to get back off the sofa....
Cam: That's a lovely, inclusive Mother's Day greeting.

You ran half a mile? Go, you! I had trouble running to the "purple sign," as we back-of-the-packers struggled with. I am considering the C25K program because DH made me run more than I had planned (since I had planned to run not a step unless chased by approaching sweepers). You make me feel like it would be worthwhile. I even downloaded the podcast. Have you tried them? And for the record, you can certainly wear comfy shoes if your dress is long.

Remember that you can always change into comfy shoes once the photos are over--you're an athlete, remember! You need to take care of your body!
Terri: Sorry to hear about your ankle. Did you get an appt? PD to you! And well done on that A!
Panda: Hi!

You were with us in spirit at the Minnie. We were quoting you and laughing to make ourselves feel better towards the end (specifically, we discussed the people who say you're almost there and that you are looking great half way through the race!).
Tricia- You did great getting out there! I was going to get back to my workout but we're having a terrible storm here at the shore. My gym membership expired the week before the Minnie and I have to figure out if I want to renew that for the summer or spend the cash at a yoga studio instead....
AlohaJeff: You were out running 10 miles? And it wasn't a race? Holy cow! Maybe I'd be inspired to run far if I were in Hawaii. I should convince DH that we should go to Hawaii to see if that is the deciding factor...
Tracy: You amaze me! I love you, hero!

Races back to back weeks, super-speedy races... Go, Tracy!

Woohoo! I thought about doing a 5K on Saturday morning. After I slept through it...
Z: Woohoo! Welcome home! We missed you at the Minnie, but I understand wanting to be home with your family. Enjoy the little things we all take for granted. Nap, eat ice cream without it melting in 20 seconds, and remain sand-free when you step out of the shower. you earned it! Thanks for all you do.
BigVic: Way to go getting those steps in! It's hard to be motivated when it is so hot and humid.
Scott: Wow! You were busy with all those workouts post-Minnie. We had a great time seeing you. I miss WDW, too. DH said NO MORE WDW this year-next WDW trip is for the Donald, he said. I tried to slip the
Disneyland half in there, but he said, "California?! First of all, no." And I knew second of all would also be no. So have fun for me!
Leana- Hi! Nice seeing you in WDW last weekend! A 10 mile run already! Woohoo! Nice job! And way to go on the PE! You really do do a lot of "stuff."
Angie: Note to self: No foam rollers! Hope you are feeling better!
Debra: LOL! I need a race with that kind of timing--at least I wouldn't have to worry about getting swept if I could get that first mile in before the race started! DH figured out how to take a lav break and re-enter the race ahead of where he left off (he ran ahead and is obviously much quicker than us walkers in the back!).
Chris: I hate the TM for that reason. That, and I can't walk as fast because I worry I'll fall off, and I hate it. I haven't renewed my gym membership because I'm trying to find another option.... Great job getting those miles in, though!
Jen: Memories of the camping trips with my family are only surpassed by the ones at WDW.

I'm sure your daughters will also look back on the memories you are making together with fondness in the years to come. And nice job on the intervals. And a half so soon after the Minnie? Go, Jen!
Jackie: Great thinking turning the inconvenience into an opportunity to get more running gear!
Amykab: I'm with you--just basking in the bling and not doing anything strenuous yet.
Sailors wfe:

You are in the right place! Most of us are finding Bingham's Marathoning for Mortals to be the best guidebook for training for long distance events.
JimB: Here you'd be covered with a fine layer of...tree pollen.

Last week's weather in Florida was darn near perfect! And I think you should suggest the "dry & nowhere near water, but really warm& uncomfortable wind advisory" to the weather people on your local channel. I'm sure they will agree it is more accurate.
Ryley26:

You are in the right place! Sounds like you have made amazing changes.
Carrie: Way to go getting those miles in! Woohoo! And if you didn't wipe out half the class tipping over in yoga, you are advanced in my book!

Nice job!
Krista: My dr said that if I get pregnant, he has no problem with me walking a half at this point (assuming everything else is okay!), but no running (Darn! And here I was so about to become a runner!

). I really admire you, getting it done. I know it must be hard to figure out your changing center of balance and such. But I know you'll be back to your pre-baby self in no time!
Allie: Way to go! Isn't the support of the WISH team amazing?
Ack! I have to go eat. I'll finish this later!
Okay, back now that I had dinner....
Where was I?
Frank: Great job getting those 5Ks done, and running through the zoo sounds like fun!
BrideMichelle: Good luck with the dress shopping, and way to go getting 7 miles in!
Morgan: I think giving your back a rest is something to consider. Sometimes taking a break and letting your body heal is better than creating a bigger problem.... I think your determination is amazing! I would so be on the sofa!
Judy: Sorry we didn't get to see you at Jellyrolls--hope The Wonder was amazing!
Carol: Great job getting those workouts in. You are okay from the storms I take it? We made out okay at our house, but there are giant trees down and power out all over. Scary stuff!
Lily: So great to see you at the Minnie! I'm still, ah, "recovering" from the Minnie, too. Tomorrow I'll try to get back. I need to try out my new running skirt!
Jeanne: Congrats on the youngest finishing college! Woohoo! I had to buy new running gear (in WISH green!) to motivate me to workout after the Minnie. I love basking in the bling!
Joan: Hi! I need to find some races to sign up for, too, or else I know the training will come to a grinding halt!
Karen: Hello! How did you guys do with the storms last night? Crazy, right? Stay safe! It should be warm again on Wednesday. Today was too cold and gloomy, especially after last weekend!
Jules,

This is an incredibly supportive group!
Shan: I'll be cheering you on the whole way!
Scott: It was a surprise that they had SMOKE in a bar, right? We had forgotten such places exist! We had fun hanging out with you two!
Okay, I need to go to bed now. I started putting Flower and Garden photos in my trip report if anyone was checking.
See you all tomorrow!
