GOOD AFTERNOON TEAM!!!
LIz: I read your blog, JUST what I needed right now.

I am so stressed out righ now about being able to start marathon training soon,
I was just thinking the other day about how this whole "running" thing started for DH & I at the gym on the treadmill, never even the smallest thought of doing a race, it just became part of our work outs, but little by little we would see "just how much farther we could go".
We just ran for the run. Then came our first 1/2 marathon training and EVERY LR was SUCH an accomplishment. We were truly focused on seeing if we could just actually accomplish such a goal. Ever since I have been put down with my injuries ALL I can think about is not getting back out there for how much I used to enjoy it, but to try to get - as good as were were- and try to do better.
Sorry to be so long winded but between your blog and Lisa's quote it really has stirred a lot of stuff up in me.
Michelle - way to go on your run!!!!

But Jeff is right, the reason DH and I started getting a lot faster is because, in a REALLY nice, way we would try to "beat each other" or should I say keep up with each other, without even realizing it we got so much faster.
Claire: What everyone else said - HOLY COW!!!

You really are a trooper taking the test anyway!!
Maura: We love you anyway

how are you feeling, still in a lot of pain?
Jackie: Thank you for the reminder that I have not done my pilates in a while, here's hoping this weekend's run is better, I am sure it will be.
Howard: Keep them coming I am running vicariously through you right now, is that ok???
Kira: SOOOOOOO glad you found the stone and good job keeping your goal. BTW - I LOVE PLANKS,

my favorite rehab/core exercise since back surgery.
welleslyprincess: sounds like you had a great run, you will be really rocking them out

when you add speed work.
Lisa - First of all -- awesome run!!!!!!

because of your fast times but also for taking it easy the first and last miles, something I did not do at alllll when training for MINNIE, hence one of the reasons for the injury. Second, thank you so much for all you said and that quote, it is exactly what I need right now. I try to look long term, every spin class (that I hate)
when we are sprinting, I tell myself, "this is all for January", every yoga and core workout is the same. I just feel such urgency to be at a certain place in the next couple of weeks to start training that I get out there to run and my long term focus goes down the drain. Soo Sunday was really a break through for me in that area, I just need to keep it up.
Carrie: Yeah for your FIL!!!! YEAH!!!
BTW Liz - DH takes some salt straight from the shaker before he runs, long and hot runs mostly and he found it really works for him, I prefer to use the gels, but your body definately needs the electrolytes and sodium one way or another.
Sorry for the really long post folks: did my pump and spin last night, as well as a little core.
Tonight will be step and a little leg work (still trying to strengthen the leg muscles to help with IT band).
