Hello everyone!
For those new to us, we're a group of people who are planning to participate in walking/running events throughout the year. Some of us are training for the 2006 Disneyland Half and for the 2007 WDW Half/Full marathons. We'll also be posting news/training for various other events throughout the year. We range from non-running beginners to triathletes. Come join us, whether you're training for an event or walking/running for fitness!
Here's the Marathon FAQ, a great place to answer your marathon questions:

Love the Easter basket

Yesterday I walked 10 miles and it was great, my time was 2:22, with my 5 mile split being 1:11--pretty even, huh? This week I think I'm going to do 4-5-4-11, I officially should be tapering, but I think I'm going to just do a one week taper, I really don't feel like I need to taper for 2 weeks. Training for the half seems a lot easier than training for the Disney half, I'm not sure if it's because I'm walking this one and I ran Disney or because I know what to expect, or maybe a combination of both.
You get tomorrow off for the Boston marathon? That's pretty cool and lucky for you. Aren't you doing a race tomorrow? Or was that over the weekend?
Davy Jones!! I missed the Monkees phenomenon in the 60's/70's, but I can remember watching the Monkees tv show on reruns. I had no idea that I was watching the show 15-20 years after it first aired and I had the BIGGEST crush on Davy Jones. In fact the Monkees greatest hits is one of my favorite cd's.
I sent as much as possible home with our friends, and I am glad they forgot the browines they were going to bring!
.
that Jo Dee Messina is running the Boston Marathon without qualifying? I was just reading on Runners World that she is running Boston, her 1st marathon. WHAT??? How not right is that?? Qualifying for Boston is huge and an honor, yet she gets to run it without qualifying because she is a celebrity??
