Well, for all of you speedy people out there, this won't seem like much but I just want to report that I broke a 14 min. pace for 5 miles. I officially W/R a 13.59/min pace.

My goal is to W/R the WDW marathon in a 13.00 min pace. We'll see what happens.

to all our new WISH walking/running buddies.
Angie - I know you are excited about graduation

You should be proud! What an accomplishment in a tough field! Good luck with your finals and your training.
Kelly - sounds like you've had a very busy last few weeks. Hope your family gets better soon.
Lily - I don't like the exercising either. But, after I do it, I'm glad that I put forth the effort. Glad you are able to get right back on track.
bekkiz - sounds like you are on the right track. Good luck with your training.
Maggie - every little bit counts, you betcha! I wonder how many miles a typical tourist averages in the Magic Kingdom (or other park) each day? I'll have to take a pedometer with me someday.
Meghan - I've read some articles about the side cramping lately and for the life of me, I can't remember much of what I read.

However, one thing that stood out, and I'm not sure why, is that sometimes leaning too far forward while running/walking can cause this. That's my PSA for today.
Leana - I would like to volunteer at a race someday. I have a friend that is going to volunteer at the Nike maraton. She'll be handing out Ghiradeli chocolates at mile 22 or 23. I told her to put some in her pocket for me (if we don't get them in the half). By the way, what hotel are you staying at in San Francisco. We're staying at the Grand Hyatt in Union Square. I need to make flight reservations soon.
Craig – Wow! An MIT professor in our midst. Congratulations!
Matt – congrats on being a triathlete! I'm impressed.
Mel – yikes about the toenail. I guess my day is coming.
Carrie – pd for your bootie. My running buddy has that problem too. Great pace, by the way!
Cam –

for you. Sounds like you've been through the wringer lately. Hope you feel better soon.
Bill – Sending

and

to Timmy.
Krista – Way to go on the pace!
Disnut – whew! I can’t do 4 miles at that pace!
Terri – yea on being crutchless. Is that a word?
Judy –

about the goose. Sounds like something that would happen to me. Glad you weren’t hurt. I think your guardian angel finally figured out that you’ve been injured enough lately. By the way, that running clinic is located on the street that my friend lives on. Too bad I can’t go to NY during that time. She’s the friend I’m going to Italy with (Rome and Florence area). We leave on May 13.
Jen – another reason why I like these WISH shirts!

on the foot. Hope the podiatrist is able to help you. As for Chi running, my DH, Steve, wants to try this. I’ll have to look for the book as well. I saw their book at the WDW expo. I wish I would have paid more attention.
MelR –

and good vibes for Phil. Hope it’s nothing serious.

Job sounds fun. Steve, dh, would love to do something like this but I won't let him give up his day job.
Andrew - you are inspiring. As someone mentioned, maybe a few extra calories will help.
Kristi - I think the GGDs need to send a limo to take you to their concerts. You are a great spokeswoman for them. Let me know if you need more bail money.
disnut - I usually have to open a Word document and take notes and I still miss things.
lenshanem - sounds like you've got a good plan. I try to work out my trips with my runs as well. Good luck.
As for qualifying for Boston, I plan to do that someday.....that is, if there is a qualifying time for handing out water/sports drinks. I need to work on my form for getting the drink from the table to the runner. That's about the best I can hope for if I plan on particpating in this event.
Sending

and

for a good week for all!
