Hello everyone!
For those new to us, we are a group of people who are planning to participate in walking/running events throughout the year. For most of us, the ultimate goal is to train and compete in the annual WDW Half/Full marathons. We'll also be posting news and training for various other events throughout the year. We range from beginners to triathletes. Come join us, whether you're training for an event or walking/running for fitness!

I'm going to try to stay in touch with my friends over here a little more. I can't guarantee that I can keep up with the fast moving thread, but I'll try.
will help the ploughs to come your way!!
I had a great time at the Run to Victory Half the first week in December and thought meeting Jeanne, her DH, and Jackie for the "20 on the 20th" would pretty much be a moving party for me. Instead, for reasons I cannot fathom, after about 10 miles I felt exhausted and it was all I could do to simply finish the 20. Not at all what I expected, and really quite disturbing. I'm trying to shake it off though and I'll focus on getting some rest and some quality shorter distances in over the next couple of weeks. That's what makes the marathon a challenge -- you never know what the day will bring.
