Wizarding World spoilers?

I'm sure this sounds like a goofy question, but I'mma ask it anyway. :) My son has only read the first 5 books. I don't anticipate him finishing the final 2 books before our trip to Universal this fall. (I'm trying to pace them because he's only 10, and those last two get a little dark.) Anyway, will our trip to WWOHP include any spoilers if we do the rides & attractions?

I've looked at maps & the contents of the rides as best as I can, and don't see anything major, with maybe the exception of escape from Gringotts (which I don't think is a big deal as far as plots go -- I think it'll more be something that he'll put together after he reads it in the book later).

Anything I should be prepared for? TIA!

Hogsmeade is only up to book 4 so you should be good. Diagon Alley is up to the end and the iconic dragon on the bank is either book 6 or 7 so technically a spoiler but not a big one. Escape from gringotts is also from ome of the last 2 books (it all starts to melt together to me haha) but does not follow what happens in the book closely it just follows the idea of them breaking into the vault and escaping.

Yes, @ELSA711, I've read them all, seen all the movies, etc. HUGE fan here, and so is the kiddo, but he's on the young side.

I guess I'm scared of ... for example ... memorials to characters who didn't make it, or something about the final battle, or something like that.

You're all good there. Dumbledore and the gang smile and wave to you as you're exiting the Forbidden Journey ride. On the Gringotts ride you're threatened by Voldemort but Harry and the gang save the day.

Well, all I can think is the dragon in Gringotts, not sure where exactly it falls in the books, I read all the books between September and Christmas last year to prepare myself for our trip this past summer so everything seems to blend for me. I say this is a great question because we played Harry Potter Clue after the Half Blood Prince book (my kids, I already read and completed the series) and it was a huge spoiler for my kids.

If there are any memorials they aren't like out in the open that are easy to find. I can't remember any off the top of my head but you would have to look for them if they were there.

If he really thinks about it, he might think, "Hey, why are we trying to escape from Gringotts? Harry hasn't been here since the first book! And why is there a dragon on Gringotts?" But there isn't really anything spoilery about the primary plotline in the ride.

There might be some spoilers in the queue for Gringotts - specifically I'm thinking of the newspaper headlines on the desks down in the basement (after you get your picture taken)....but I can't remember the specifics. Maybe you can walk on that side and distract him to look at something else. After the desks, there are offices and you can hear conversations within and see shadows.

I think there are spoilers that you kind of realize they are spoilers when you know how it all plays out, but if you haven't you will probably just take it as "magical stuff in a magical land"

No a thing will give away the lost of many loved ones in the series, actually there is a couple who are alive and well at Universal Harry Potter lands
