Wizard money and gift cards--how will that work?

How does wizard money work? Do we buy it at Gringott's? Anywhere else?

I bought the kids gift cards for Christmas; anyone know if we can turn the gift cards into galleons? And is it just bills? I guess coins would be too much to hope for--but the level of detail is so great elsewhere a girl can hope!

There is a Gringotts bank shop with a Goblin that interacts with you and everything. It is basically behind you if you're facing the ride queue. Off to the side. The smallest denomination you can buy is $10. And, you can use gift cards to buy it. Makes a great souvenir!

Thanks Lazer. Too bad you can't break it down into sickles and knuts! But good to know we can take our gift cards and turn them into galleons pretty quickly. I think the wizard money is accepted throughout the parks, is that right?

Your real money is converted to Gringotts money that can be used anywhere in the parks like a credit voucher/local script or kept as a souvenir. They do sell coin sets as souvenirs but not as convertible money.

Thanks Tony. We'll definitely seek out the coin sets, to have a peek if not bring them home! Sadly, I gave the kids "vouchers" for Christmas using a conversion rate that was true to the books but not the theme park! Good news is they get more Galleons out of it but no knuts or sickles!
