No.
TSMM will always be the way it is until it becomes extremely outdated or Disney builds something in DHS that is popular and a family can ride together. Sadly, I'm not sure which comes first.

Since they're in different parks, I doubt they will affect each other.

Hopefully they never make a "family friendly ride" in HS. Personally I hope they move HS towards the teen age group. That really is what the park is like now and they should stick with that. 2 of their most extreme rides are in HS I would say, so don't go crazy extreme but keep with that theme if your adding on. I feel that TSMM is busy not just because it's the main family ride but it really is a lot of fun, it's way ahead of buzz because you can see where your shooting easier.
Yeah, I don't see how opening up a new ride in MK is going to affect the lines at a ride at DHS.![]()
A new ride...folks would rush over to see it.
If anything it might take crowds away from other popular rides, but in Magic Kingdom.

With that thought in mind what really needs to be done is to build a villains park with great big thrill rides. That will attract the teen crowds and free up the other parks.
Mine Train will not effect the wait time on TSMM. The only thing that will do that is another family ride in DHS. A perfect example is Radiator Springs in DCA. There were sooooooo many people drawn to that attraction/land that TSMM saw maximum waits of 30 minutes on our recent trip to DL. We rode it 3 times as a walk on before noon there just last week.
Yeah, TSMM is so poplular because it's the only family ride in the park. Plain and simple. It already IS outdated. It's an HD Wii game in a moving ride vehicle. You could put one in a Dave and Busters and it would never have a line.
Even before RSR, TS had a much shorter line there. Since park hopping takes 5 minutes, TS isn't going to have a huge line at DHS. It's fun, but sure isn't the OMG I MUST RIDE THAT ONE RIDE it has become at DHS. If they built a new Monster's Inc indoor coaster, TSMM would lose half it's line immediately.
Just another reason why spending a billion dollars on FP+ was Disney greed, instead of spending it on rides for their customers to enjoy.
