Just wondering if this was still a necessary item in the split baths where there are 2 sinks. It's DH, DS10 and myself.

We took the overthedoor holder when we had the split bath and it came in handy. There is virtually no space on the counters. There are corner shelves where the toilet is and a shelf under the sink where the shower is.

I found that even with the best organization, there was always something I needed that was in the other half of the bath at the most inconvenient time. I will use mine outside the baths, maybe inside the closet, reachable to all.

We put ours on the outside of the shower room door. It came in very handy for hair brushes, tooth brushes and paste, film, makeup, and a lot of the 'liittle' things that you bring with you. There are some small shelves in each bathroom and if you don't bring a lot a 'crap' like I do then you may not need one but I was sure glad we had ours.

we loved ours. It kept everything in one place without cluttering the counters and sinks in the bathrooms. I would take it...

I would have never needed it. We had a cat 7 last November, and everything fit on the shelves in the bathroom. And we bring a lot of stuff. We're on the 9/21 and I won't be packing one. Anita.

We had 4: DH, DD(17), DS(14) and myself. We found that the shelves provided were fine. In one bathroom there are 4 corner triangle shelves - each one got one - I kept my toothbrush/ toothpaste and face wash stuff there. In the other bathroom (w shower)there was one slim shelf about 18" over the sink area, we each took a spot - I kept my bath items there, hubby kept shaving cream/razor. DD and I each have a small rollup cosmetics bag we kept in night stands. Because we all seemed to be getting ready at the same time, DD and I usually did our makeup and hair at the desk/dresser rather than in the bathroom.

We travel a lot and travel pretty light but with a full complement of hair and face stuff.

There are three of us and we never needed it. The shelves were sufficient. But someone mentioned that you always need something in the other bathroom area...this is true! I was always knocking on the door trying to get something I forgot while we were getting ready. Guess the over the door hanger would come in handy if you hung it outside the bathrooms like someone else mentioned. I don't think we will take one though...one more thing to take up space in my luggage. :D

I'm one who has never needed on either, and we're a family of three as well. I try to pack as lightly as possible and this is one item that I could eliminate from the pack list and never miss. :)

Our family of 4 loved having one. On our first cruise we didn't have one and always felt cluttered. First cruise Cat 6 second cruise cat 4. I tend to pack light it's just nice having everything visible and the kids able to find things easily. For $5 its worth every penny

With a family of 5 we will definity be taking one, while newbies to DCL, DW and I have been in nice sized verandah state rooms on Princess and believe me you are always looking for something. I think someone previously used the term crap, but to me it is essential crap. I travel world over and do not subscribe to bringing the kitchen sink, but five people in 300 square feet of space will be an adventure. As DW would attest, our family, self included, does not like to look too hard to find what we want with out asking DW(DM)for help. So if this avoids a few "hey Moms" it will be worth the sanity check to fit the organizer in the bag. :)

We didn't use ours for "bathroom stuff," but it was helpful in keeping the general cabin clutter to a minimum, especially kid stuff and the little things we tended to want to grab as we went out the door-- disposable cameras, walkie talkies, sunscreen, binoculars, daily Navigators, hair scrunchies and headbands, etc.

We used ours for everything!! It came in very handy for keepinf the room clean. I hate to have stuff just lying everywhere..

Bring it. It doesn't take up much space in the luggage and you will love it for everything. I'm taking it again and it will only be DH and myself.

:) We took one on our 2001 cruise and loved having it. It really didn't take up much room in the luggage, just put it in the top zipper pocket in the lid and when we got ready to leave we gave it to our room steward who seemed really pleased to get it. He said it would really come in handy in their room because of the limited space they have. :smooth: ;)

I strongly recommend bringing the shoe holder. We did not bring ours on our last cruise, but it would have helped organize the clutter. :earsgirl:

I found a catch all gadget bag at a Totes store that is tri-fold and smaller than the shoe organizer. I was always searching for the small stuff between bathrooms, makeup, toothpaste, floss, etc. and it was always in the opposite half as I had mentioned in earlier posting. I know this is a hangup for me, but I don't like leaving my toothbrush, mouthwash and toothpaste lying around.I literally hide it somewhere out of sight. You never know!;)

I've never needed one. I travel light. For me it would be just something else to pack - not necessary. I pack everything in heavy-duty ziplock plastic bags by category - makeup, bath stuff, toothbrush (in baggie with toothpaste, dental floss, mini mouthwash). I take the baggies out of my luggage and set them on the bathroom corner shelves. No problem and less weight. This works well for two or three people, but if you have four or five (or if by nature you are a disorganized, cluttering type ;) ) then I think you would need an organizer to hang on the door. That would also be the case if you do not have a stateroom with at least a split bath.
